You say versatile, I say crowded. Also, V-Mart isn't exactly Albert Pujols. When our offensive players aren't in a common slump, Martinez is 5th or 6th best hitter in the lineup. He's basically a band-aid. Again, not worth a shipment of prospects to Mark Shapiro's doorstep.
Brad Penny? His only bad start in recent memory has been the Toronto game. Lee's a nice pitcher, but I'm content with Beckett/Lester/Wakefield/Penny/Buchholz.
