  1. And can you guarantee for me that there won't be a single time in 2010 where a weakness of ours gets exposed or we suffer a critical injury?
  2. That might change, though. I read it sometime yesterday, but it could be from earlier with new developments since occuring. Who knows.
  3. God, they take this division s*** too far. You'll face him 5 times a year, and I doubt that he'll dominate you in every single one of those matchups. If Ricciardi takes an inferior package just to get him out of the AL East, he's a f***tard. And I know some trolling dipshit will fling the homer tag for that.
  4. If its between us and the Dodgers, I don't see how we don't win. Their system is respectable, but ours is a lot better.
  5. Not to me, that would do a good job of hijacking our ability to improve in 2010 midseason (if needed) and a little beyond.
  6. '06, '07 he had an .850 OPS each year. Not the distant past. You take Rios with Halladay and hope that Rios reverts to that form.
  7. Relevant phrases/terms bolded. The best we could do is implement the OF merry-go-round. They won't bench Bay. They need him to get going, they're f***ed if he doesn't pick it up. He won't pick it up sitting on the bench. I also can't help but feel like Bay will make a stink about being benched down the stretch of his contract year - hindering our ability to re-sign him this winter, if not completely killing it and putting him in the hands of the Yankees.
  8. I say play both, if it happens. I hate to bump Ellsbury from the lineup, but...
  9. Tito is getting ready to manage a game in twenty minutes.
  10. If Theo's resisting this, I'll shoot him.
  11. *grabs cookie with mouth, runs into living room, begins to eat it*
  12. What the s***? MORE Yankee fans? Oh we are in for a day.
  13. Hey remember last winter when I was suspicious of Ortiz and everyone was telling me that he's 100% natural and his growth was just him getting fatter and his increased performance was foreshadowed by his Twins performance? Finger to you guys.
  14. That could just be his asking price for the Dodger system, since their's is probably inferior to ours.
  15. So that's all we'd be limited too? Is this really going to continue? Since he's arguably our best hitter when healthy, if he does perform horribly the rest of the season, then that's a severe blow to our chances one way or the other, unless everyone around him goes absolutely apeshit. The playoffs aren't starting right now. We'll see.
