    Relevant phrases/terms bolded. The best we could do is implement the OF merry-go-round. They won't bench Bay. They need him to get going, they're f***ed if he doesn't pick it up. He won't pick it up sitting on the bench. I also can't help but feel like Bay will make a stink about being benched down the stretch of his contract year - hindering our ability to re-sign him this winter, if not completely killing it and putting him in the hands of the Yankees.

    So that's all we'd be limited too? Is this really going to continue? Since he's arguably our best hitter when healthy, if he does perform horribly the rest of the season, then that's a severe blow to our chances one way or the other, unless everyone around him goes absolutely apeshit. The playoffs aren't starting right now. We'll see.
