  1. He could've just said 'injuries' and been right, but then everyone would flame him for making excuses.
  2. I'm not following the NFL redraft thing so PM with a date or when we're starting or whatever.
  3. ehh what the hell
  4. Wouldn't mind it as much if Theo didn't also hand a Beckett a huge extension that he didn't deserve.
  5. For such a smart basketball mind, Joe Dumars has done some really f***ing stupid things in the past two years. Starting with the Billups/Iverson trade, unnecessary blowing up that season, then using the resulting cap space on a couple of bench players who do nothing to help you win and whose contracts will weigh on that team like iron weights until they're expired. Then he refuses to trade the rest of that team's 'core' (Prince and Hamilton, Stuckey should go too), keeping the team in some kind of half-ass rebuilding mode purgatory and delaying their return to respectability. He seems convinced that they can compete as built, so he's probably not dealing any of the three anytime soon. These guys will be a 35-40 win team for the next 5 years with no way of drastically improving from outside. At least he drafted Greg Monroe, but he's going to have to be another Chris Webber, and fast, if Detroit's going anywhere soon.
  6. Pretty much.
  7. If you're any indication, all Cleveland deserves is 50 points, multiple hard fouls, and a middle finger from LeBron upon his return.
  8. Sadly, they were much improved in the playoffs. I still don't know how we won 50 games being that bad of a rebounding team, but it definitely speaks out against the idea of us being too old.
  9. Given his emotional troubles and the whole LeBron's mom thing, I can't help but feel like teams will be avoiding West like the plague. If all that gets straightened out though, I'd love to have him, since on top of providing defense and perimeter shooting, he might be able to take a few backup PG minutes away from Nate Robinson.
  10. Unfortunately. He doesn't defend or rebound, and his lack of height prevents him from being much of a scorer. All he's ever done is have one or two good games every spring, and make funny faces that always find their way onto the playoff montages.
  11. Wow, I thought I was the only one who was able to see this. I think you're my new friend.
  12. Seriously. Shaq. Excellent, excellent move shoring up the big men situation. Last season's biggest weakness is now our biggest strength. What's more, if everyone's healthy at playoff time, this probably bumps Davis from the rotation. Hallelujah.
  13. Why? No personal attacks in there buddy.
  14. Kareem and Magic were on the same team and won five rings together, Einstein. Yeah. They traded the one guy who would have a good guard compliment to James in Kirk Hinrich, because he can actually shoot. You seriously want to surround LeBron, who would be the facilitator (it's the role he thrives in), to be surrounded by guys like Derrick Rose and Luol Deng, who would never be able to adequately space the floor? Sounds like a great way to carry on the Cavs' legacy of failure. I failed accounting (the first time), and even I can grasp this concept. Your head is firmly buried in Chicago's anal cavity, so you can't. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson each needed two other superstars to do it. But please, keep trying. So now it needs to be renewed, with this whole 'wow labron suks lol he needed bettr playrz then mo williams anton jamizin and a 90 yr old SHAQ to win teh title lol' routine.
  15. No, if he wins two or three titles, it'll be 'he won two or three titles'. NOBODY HAS EVER WON AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BY THEMSELVES. f***, if you want to go this route, why not put asterisk next to all of Bird's, Russell's, and Magic's rings? They had an entire cast of HOFers right by their side. Oops. I like him. Nothing wrong with what he did. Cleveland's just proving themselves to be a bunch of sore loser divas. If Shaq acted this way, nobody would give a flying s***. Jordan was with a franchise that was willing to give him more help than Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, and an old Shaq. All third or fourth options on a true title contender.
  16. I'm sick and f***ing tired of hearing about how LeBron snubbing the Cavs on national TV would be classless or mean, like he owes Cleveland anything. Everyone in that city needs to get the f*** over themselves. Danny Ferry completely botched the situation, couldn't put any real number twos next to LeBron, and he bolted. That doesn't make him Art Modell, that makes him a person with at least half a brain.
  17. They always do. How do they work out? Tell me, mystical suns, how many over-the-hill or third option players will Chris Grant shove in to play next to LeBron, if Cleveland is fortunate enough to the beneficiary of his misguided loyalty?
  18. Yeah, because he'd be re-signing with the same exact team he's been unable to win with before. Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison aren't going to cut it, champ. LeBron should have a pep talk with KG on how far his precious loyalty got him.
  19. Leandro Barbosa and Rudy Fernandez said to be Celtic trade targets. Whether they would be replacing Ray Allen or just playing behind him is currently unknown. Get your own damn link.
  20. Boston Herald says that Pierce is coming back for 4 years and $61 million. Too long.
  21. I'd rather have Tony Allen be the starting SG than bring Ray back. And seriously... Brad Miller? God help us. As if we weren't bad enough on the boards. He can't defend either.
