  1. Silly Dipre, you didn't know that every team is made up of 24 clones of their best starting pitcher?

  3. Boston? Lay off the fluff? lol good luck with that.
  4. And why would they do that?
  5. So? You draft the best players and others judge how your team will perform as a unit compared to the others. Easy. Since there's much less of us than there are MLB teams, the talent will be bunched up more and all of our teams will be titans. I like it.
  6. In. No salary cap plz.
  7. Not entirely on topic but finally got NBA 2k11 today and holy f*** is it good.
  8. I heard that Grienke has a no-trade clause preventing him from being dealt to the Yankees. Cannot remember where I saw it though, of if it's even accurate.
  9. It's after the fact now, but Martin wouldn't be getting $9 f***ing million a year for 4 years.
  10. Their bullpen is demolished and they lost two of their best position players. They're not close to an elite AL team. They have zero chance at the playoffs. So I don't know why they'd let divisions get in the way of trying to get the best return package (oh I know why, becuz itz bezball, n trading in divizion is against roolz).
  11. You answered your own question.
  12. he mad? Anyway as hilarious as it is to see the Yankees get sodomized so far this winter, I'm thinking it will be fairly short-lived. They're probably gonna bring the house for Grienke or even Garza now.
  13. Dojji with the talksox post of the day.
  14. Could have been hungover too lol.
  15. mmmmmm crawford looks dreamy
  16. Same day, Tek's deal was probably agreed to before they knew about Martin.
  17. He's non-tendered because of the injury concerns. When healthy, Martin gets on base. This is a good talent to have, history would indicate. The Sox don't have any rock solid catcher options at the moment, so why not roll the dice on Martin? They kept Tek so if they are left holding a bag with the catcher situation, they're not in too deep of trouble there. Tek isn't too good anymore, but at the very least the pitchers are comfortable with him behind the plate and he would have an air of familiarity (would probably count for something in the clubhouse).
  18. We're not signing Martin to be 'the man', we'd be signing him because he gets on base. The Red Sox like to take chances on guys coming off big injuries, they've shown that quite a few times. This would be worth the risk, since catcher is definitely our shakiest spot right now.
  19. Good on-base hitter, and catcher's our weak spot at the moment. ...oh well.
  20. If Theo was able to pull off Jose Reyes + Russell Martin + reliever (Guerrier?), holy f***ing s***.
