    I ran reports on POPUP% (IF/FB %) for all AL batters with 150+ PA and all Boston Red Sox. AL POPUP% ranged from 21.9% for Mark Ellis to 1.5% for Delmon Young, with a median of 7.6%.     Concur: Weeks had to understand that it was his to catch, sprint over from a shaded-to-left second baseman's position, and the catch the ball while sliding. Great replay.

    Not a bad throw by Matsuzaka to get Hart. Dice-K may spend too many pitches playing the edges of the corners of the strike zone, but the guy can field. I remember Jim Kaat...he's better than Kaat, IMHO.
