    I agree - the only way Coco can see first base is as a pinch runner - because no way he can get a hit. Sometime Francona really get on my nerves - he must have run out of excuses on playing Coco.

    I am focussing on how I would done things differently in the post-season 1. Keep Gagne out of the roaster. 2. Start Ellsbury at lead off spot from game 1 - use Coco as defensive replacement. 3. Start Becket in last night's game. 4. Start Kielty over Drew in last night's game - because of his record against Byrd. And I am not doing this in hind-sight - I thought these moves made sense before the ALCS begun.

    I have already been labelled here as a Tek hater - so I will just say this. If Theo gives another captainsque deal to him beyond 2008 - I will commit harakiri. Jason is still good catching the ball - and that's about it. He can't bat , can't throw, asks for too many fastballs from pitcher etc. etc. Go ahead and bash me - I think he is a liability in this team. He is not Youk that I can at least argue he is cost effective.

    Coco against CC is OK - but I think Ellsbury should start otherwise and Coco should be a defensive replacement for Manny later in the game depending on situation.

    Do you think that the best closer in the history of baseball will accept a set-up role? He is only 38 you know. Mo is just being emotional after a heartbreaking loss that time will heal. When all set and done - I think Cashman will resign him.
