Not really the same issue. Lidge was ineffective/injured last year. Hoffman is awful and needs to retire.

If Snead had stayed in school another year, the 'QB Killa' Houston Nutt would've had him regress so bad he might not make it in the Arena League. Amazing what that guy can do to a QB's confidence/ability. Once a Heisman contender/likely 1st rounder to undrafted. Beautiful.

Exactly. Holt is nothing like he was in his St. Louis hey day, but he's still a very smart receiver and I think he'll be a good dude to have around.

So I missed the game tonight. Sounds like Buchholz continued to look solid? I saw that he had 10 K's. CJ Wilson was pretty shut-down apparently.

This really is astounding. He's actually had a few decent starts here lately. I have a friend who is a fan of the Cubs. (He also is a fan of the Knicks and Bills... and Red Wings, though they're actually good). I don't think he even gets that mad at Cubs management anymore - just naturally expects the worst.

Why is Mark Kotsay still on an American League roster? He could still play several more years if it was in the National League. I was watching a game the other day only to find out that MIGUEL CAIRO is still in the bigs. He's playing for the Reds.

Couldn't agree more with SOTK and SCM33... I expected a lot better than this. Pats better get s*** done in the 2nd round and make some nice picks for a change. Haven't been very successful in the draft in a while and that has to change THIS year as everyone else around us is getting better and we're stagnant.

But for good reason. I think they're probably the most talented team in the NHL and picked them to win the whole thing before the season began. Still, losing in the 1st round would be a massive failure on their part but I still think they win this series.
