  1. He's a Yankee fan. Expecting him to know more than your average special needs student is asking a lot, let alone bringing game thread rules into the equation. C'mon VA.
  2. JD Drew is what he is. So what if he has a minor injury and misses the occasional few innings/game, he is one of the biggest contributors to this team over 162 games and without him, we'd be up a creek.
  3. Papelbon was a 1st baseman at Mississippi State long before he began his pitching career.
  4. I was going to mention this. I didn't get home until the start of the 9th inning. I thought there might've been a rain delay, but apparently not. How can you have so many empty seats for such a big series?
  5. Thought this was a good and interesting article worth sharing. http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/columns/story?columnist=bryant_howard&id=5194839
  6. It was pretty intense in those years, primarily because we hadn't won anything in so long which magnified things.
  7. Heard Paul Pierce as he was walking into the tunnel after the game last night say "See yall next year". I don't think it's going back to Orlando either.
  8. I remember the good ole days when I used to be able to watch games live. Ah yes... Another night of umpiring, ignoring texts all night, then watching the Sox game about 11 p.m. or so. One of these days Phil Hughes is going to get lit up. Lets make it tonight.
  9. Can't see that ever happening as neither one of them wants to be second banana.
  10. What the hell happened? I was at the Reds game tonight and kept following the scores when they showed them. We had a 6-1 lead and ended up blowing this game. Good grief.
  11. Had a fantastic time. It's a really nice park and we saw an unbelievable game - Skip Schumaker got thrown out at the plate to end the game. Doesn't get much better than that. I was actually videoing the last couple outs and got the whole thing on my camera. It was also the Civil Rights game and getting to see a bunch of hall of fame players (Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson, etc) was really cool. Did I mention my ticket was $5 and I sat about 15-20 rows up from the Cardinals dugout? Good times. I love road trips.
  12. Chicago
  13. Anyone been to the Great American Ballpark? Always has looked pretty nice. I'm going to the Reds and Cardinals game tomorrow.
  14. Well yeah, but the handball adds incentive to the fact.
  15. Good to see Buchholz continue to pitch well. Nice.
  16. I'm still pissed about the France handball that kept Ireland out of the World Cup. I hope France loses every game. :harhar:
  17. Pushed Beckett back to Friday @ Detroit. I'm guessing they just want to give him a few extra days off to clear his head. That, and the fact that Toronto hammers him like no other.
  18. One month away from the World Cup. I got the Fifa World Cup 2010 game for PS3 last week. It's pretty sweet. Anyone else?
  19. A few days late but how about my Spurs winning 1-0 @ Man City to lock up a spot in the Champions League. Good stuff.
  20. It'd be nice if the rest of the AL would get with the program.
  21. Tigers win. Valverde was pretty sick K'ing the side, and the heart of the lineup no less.
  22. I'm not complaining, but I think that strike three on Teixeira was a little off the plate.
  23. And somehow that game only ended up taking about 3 hours.
