  1. I know it's old, I know it's cramped, I know if you're over 5'2'' and 120 pounds you don't fit into the seats comfortably, but I love it anyway. So no, I'm not for blowing up Fenway.
  2. I hope you root for the Red Sox too. Welcome, sir.
  3. I don't think you have to worry about that. He's an awesome player, and there's no one else on the Guardians threatening to make the all star team. He should be there by default. I don't vote.
  4. Sad stuff. I always really liked Jose Lima. Got to see him pitch at KC once in '03 which was cool.
  5. The only other knuckleballer in the bigs that I'm aware of is Charlie Haeger for the Dodgers, but he got sent down recently I believe. So probably not. Excellent stuff from Dice tonight. It's a shame I wasn't able to see it. Thanks MLB.
  6. Why haven't you done this yet?
  7. I hate that this game is on FOX. I'm getting Yankees @ Mets, and even though I won't be home I was planning on Tivo'ing the game. So much for that.
  8. That's an AL lineup that Philly trots out there every night. I hope Lackey is on his game tonight. I think we'll put up some runs on Hamels.
  9. I flipped over in between commercials of the Sox game, and that throw down to second was pointless. Not even remotely close.
  10. About damn time Pettitte comes back to this planet.
  11. I disagree - I think LA is a better team than Cleveland although I absolutely think the Celtics can beat the Lakers in the Finals. I know, I know, neither series is over but realistically it's a serious longshot that either Phoenix or Orlando comes back and wins.
  12. Ahhh, c'mon yeszir. Nothing wrong with Millar. I'm glad he's on board.
  13. Cincinnati just blew a 9-3 lead in the 9th @ Atlanta. Brooks Conrad hit a walk off grand slam for the Braves. Dammit. The Reds have given me a small ray of hope that there is at least one team in the NL Central worth a damn that might stay within 10 games of the Cardinals by seasons end. The NL Central in general is closer to AAAA ball than anything else you'll see in MLB.
  14. Evan Turner is one of the most complete college players I've seen in years and I think he will be a very good pro, but you just can't pass on Wall.
  15. Its been the best division every year for a while now. Don't see that changing anytime soon either. As for the Rays, they suffered a big blow today losing JP Howell for the year to shoulder surgery. He's one of the better lefty relievers in the game.
  16. As frustrating as he can be at times, this is where Wakefield really holds his value to the team. We don't have to call up a AAA bum for spot starts. Instead, Wake can jump right in and give us reliable innings every fifth day until Beckett or whoever is hurt at the time returns.
  17. I enjoy abusing inferior National League teams, although the teams in our division usually do the same so we don't typically gain a lot of ground during interleague. I do think it's ridiculous that we play the Phillies the same amount of times as say, the Cardinals or Padres do. We've got the NL West this year minus San Diego. How did MLB end up matching us up with Philly not once, but twice? That is absurd. We used to play Atlanta twice because of the whole 'rivalry' thing, but now we're playing Philly every year. I'd just like to know the reasoning behind it.
