w/e mr. crunchy, unless you actually have played soccer, you are not worthy enough to say anything negative about it. I will admit there is more general contact in football, but as shillingouttheks said, it is pretty demanding sport - i would say it is equally as demanding.

yes, there is a lot of contact in football, no doubt, but to flat out say that soccer is for pansies is a terrible statement because soccer us at least equally as tough as football is. Until you at least play a real competitive soccer match, you cant say anything about the contact. and since you mentioned the world cup, there was a lot of violence in that. For example, an elbow being drilled into an unprotected head causing severe bleeding in the cranium. that occured in th US/Italy match. Mr. Crunchy, dont be an arrogant ass, soccer is as tough as football, you dont have to admit it, but IMO it is foolish just to flat out say soccer is for pansies and not be able to refute the statement that there is tons of violence in soccer.

never gunna happen, i highly doubt the sox FO would think about that... but yet again..... with all of the moves theyve been doing this offseason...

what the hell is that supposed to mean. it just proves that football players have so much protection and in soccer our bodies fly at eachother with no give. i get concussions cause in 50/50 balls, i go straight for the ball and i get hit in the head cause im not afraid to get it. soccer actually takes talent. anyone can be good at football, all you need is a needle. in my school, after the soccer season is over, we have a tradition to play full contact football with each other and we dont have any pads on - we hit hard, and we dont care. i know football is supposed to be tough, but now-a-days, w/ all of the protection, its not. get over it.

only kids that play soccer are pansies cause they cant handle football???? im sorry, but you do know that they do wear a s*** load of pads in football, and i in soccer, you do get hit a lot, and you wouldnt know that cause youd prolly never played a competitive game. soccer is much more tougher than ppl think. im a goalie, and i have more concusions that our schools entire football team combined

im suprised the sox are on the list we do have some depth this year, and i say this cause all of the young arms we had last year are not mentioned so we will have them as an emergency

i still think that a Lugo/youk 1-2 combo would be good putting the guy with the best OBP in front of ortiz is deadly y doesnt anyone think youk is a good #2 hitter? -
lester can hold to be very valuable b/c we can have him in AAA when he comes back and that is no problem as a come back season... and if we have injuries and we need him in august/september he'll be there.... so right now hes btwn majors and minors b/c of his health which i think is a great tool to have when you have a lot of pitching depth

id also say youk b/c he seems to be more clutch than crisp... i remember patriots day last year.... if im wrong let me know, but youk is clutch, and i think a clutch guy that gets on base and a clutch home run king duo would be deadly if it came down to the 9th innning at the top of the order -

i was pissed forrest lost, i would loved a forrest/lidell fight.... well, i dont anymore cause forrest has got to shape up his attitude and stop being so cocky.... then we could see lidell go past 2 rounds....

as im looking at this poll, i am very suprised at the Craig Hansen votes.... a lot more than i would have expected, it shows that almost a quarter of people think that he'll close next season.... im suprised in that.

i do not see papelbon starting the season as a closer, but i wouldnt be suprised if he is shifted to close about half way through the year

Glorifying bastards. Also, the network that the Chicago Whte Sox are on, their anouncers are prolly more biassed than the yankee ones. The tampa bay announcers arnt my favorite either, they suck.

The slow start thing would just be a mental problem, i dont think it will actually affect them physically. I understand why they would want to go to Japan and i dont think that its too bad of an idea just because we got some natives on the team -
I highly doubt Lester will be in the pen. He is very uncomfortable in the pen, and i know that his future in unknown. My picks: LR: Tavarez MR: Donnelly MR: Romero MR: Okijima MR: Delcarmen SU: Timlin CL: Pineiro basically looks like everyone elses, but thats waht i think it will turn out to be.
