  1. i think that who ever hits second should have the best on-base percentage; no matter what speed they have, especially hitting in front of Big Papi therefore, i nominate youk
  2. our rotation is very deep IMO We have 5 starters right now with no injuries, and by august we should have 7 sufficient ML starters. We possibly can have Schill, Dice-K, Beckett, Paps, Wake, Lester, Clement. All have had good seasons and are quality starters. I dont think Clement will be ready for 07, but you never know. Also Tavarez was dominent as a starter last year [doubt that will carry over though] also if needed Pineiro [if paps is moved to BP] and Breslow could be ready by the end of the year. our situation looks solid unless 4 of our starters take a hit, but im sure if that happened to any team they would be down and out. We have 10 potential SP now, and 5 of them IMO are quality, 1 rookie, 2 off an injury, 1 releiver/starter, and 1 decent SP off of bad season. Should be fun to watch this season
  3. no suprises in that list
  4. damn jacksonian, either you have no life or you found a very helpful source thats a lot of work to be credited for good job man:thumbsup:
  5. ST is like a tease, its saying beseball is hear, but it really doesnt matter but it is a sign that the Reg Season starts in a month
  6. what do you mean they change automatically [not to sound retarded] are they all liked with a webpage that changes it for you? i never heard of that.
  7. how could there be much of a transtion for hitters? barely anybody saw beckett in the AL and he struggled. dicek has gotta tranfser into the AL and that is much tougher for pitchers than in Japan. he hasnt really proved much, so i dont know why everyone is jumping the gun to say he'll be dominent. dicek is still sketchy in my book. not saying that im right, i hope im wrong, but i think that he will struggle.
  8. i want to get into baseball again. i played catcher 12 years ago. but i think its too late to try and play baseball again for me. maybe mens league softball is where ill be heading in 10 years. I want to learn to be a pitcher for my high school team, but thats crazy cause ill have to get good in 1 month, and its been a while since i last played in a league.
  9. keeping hansen off of the ML roster for now is what he needs, so i agree with jacksonian. but at the same time i think he needs to pulled up at the right time so his confidence is at max and his performance is at max. He needs to not worry about where he'll end up tomorrow, he needs to pitch and no that no matter how he does, he will stay put. I think that he should be told to pitch in AAA and he will not be promoted, but yet reanalyze him at the allstar break and figure out if he is needed on the roster
  10. anything over 15 wins and 4.00 ERA and i will be suprised i expect him to have a "beckett" transition season this year, but to dominate years after
  11. dont forget that heltons past 2 season were total declines compared to his previous seasons
  12. how is he not a middle releiver?
  13. i dont see this being the end of these negotiations.... itll appear again possibly around trade deadline time
  14. why is everyone shutting down schill??? i love the guy bc he is clutch, he has driven two different teams to become world series champs, and i dont think clutch declines with age.
  15. i value hansens potential greater than MDC's. I see hansen as a future closer, and i view MDC as more as a future MR, or possibly SU; therefore hansen is more valueable in that case
  16. as far as im concerned, the sox keep pulling money out their ass so i have no idea how much they have or whats left, so it could be worth it if there is still money in the bank
  17. i dont like his numbers in the past 2 seasons.... they dont seem so promising to me for 45mil through six years and getting rid of our prospects.... having him would be nice though i guess im sketchy on what side im on for this deal
  18. im not worried about this ranking... doesnt mean anything, even though we are so low, therefore i know that his system of ranking is hog-wash
  19. id rather have an absolute defensive machine at SS and hit .200 than have lugo....
  20. no chad spann... no ellsbury those two are the suprise for me
  21. the sox 2004 IF was as gritty as they get.... well, youk, pedrioa, lowell, lugo -not quite as gritty, but i think they can pull through if you comepare them though, i think our new IF is as solid as 04's youk can get on base better than millar pedrioa has a s*** load better k% than bellhorn lugo really doesnt have anything on OC lowell is about equal with mueller, except lowell has batter defense i think but the 04 IF definently had some great chemistry
  22. this kid has to prove what hes got before i start making any assumptions about him
  23. thats actually not bad - shows commitment
  24. good luck trotty
