    I think Drew is a pretty good hitter, the problem is that he just doesn't PLAY enough. It's great if you can post 900+OPS, but if you can only play 2/3 of the season, it isn't worth as much. I've always said that he has the tools, but he just never puts it all together. He has had one or two "complete" season in 10+ years in the league. Now, do I think we could have done better? Probably not. Is he worth $14 million a year? Probably not. Is it in the past? Yes.

    I'm NOT advocating trading Drew, nor do I think he will get traded, I was simply responding to someone's post, stating that if we were to get Holliday, it shouldn't be to replace Bay, but Drew (assuming he got signed to a new contract). I think it's unlikely that we could upgrade RF, although it is possible. I'm not the one who brought it up, nor Bay, I was simply responding. Jeez, some of you people think Drew is some God around here. He has underperformed in Boston (not to mention playing under 80% of games). I give him a break for the ALCS performance in '07, but lets not go overboard here.

    To improve the team? Is that not a valid reason? Heck, people are talking about trading Bay. That's alright to discuss, but Drew isn't? Is Drew really that much more important to this team than Bay? Really? I was just responding to someone's post, I didn't bring up the idea myself. Do I think Drew gets traded? No. Would I like to have RF upgraded? Yes.

    I don't hate Drew, but would you rather have Drew in RF over Holliday? Drew has been an underachiever his entire career (and no, I'm not saying he works hard, but he just never can put it all together for a season).

    Since we turned down Buchholz for V-mart, how about Buchholz+ for Lee and V-mart?

    Lol. We score 12 runs in 5 games and are in a 4 game losing streak, so what does Tito do, gives Lowell and Lowrie the day off. Wonderful. Laroche can't get here soon enough. Granted, I'm not blaming Tito (even though I basically did), I'm just pissed that Lowell and Lowrie both can't play when the team needs them.

    The problem is the 'prospect or 2'. I wouldn't trade Bay for Holliday unless it was straight up AND he negotiates a new contract with us, other wise, he's a FA after the season, just like Bay.

    Again, unless it is to replace Drew, it really doesn't improve the team.
