    Even it being the Padres, It still sickens me to see Smoltz dominate and win for his new team... meanwhile Beckett gets knocked around (out) by the Yankees. Tonight SUCKS.

    It's great to have him as a defensive upgrade... he still has to be in the lineup though. That analogy is retarded. CC only ever sees the base paths for maybe 2 games a season, where as Gonzo will be at the dish every game he plays.

    I just don't get why the Sox go out and bring in a SS they basically cut 2 years ago. Hell, he is in the worst year of his career right now... and the Sox see that as an improvement? I think we will be seeing a lot more games like tonight from Gonzo; some nice plays, but 0-4 with GIDPs.

    Problem is that if he continues to struggle at the plate anywhere near as bad as he has this season, then he isn't as valuable as Green.

    I'm going to have to agree with Dipre on this one. At this point in his career, Young is a corner infielder. If it were '07, then I'd love to have him. He just isn't the fit now.

    It does. '05 he averaged 92.5 on his fastball. '06 and '07 he averaged 94.3. '08 he averaged 95.3, this year he is averaging 94.8. So, in other words, his velocity is right around his career average.

    lol. I should have specified. I love peppers, I was more referring to the recent craze of people wanting their hot sauce as hot as possible. I LOVE cajun food, I just hate how most people think it's supposed to be super hot... it's not. A little spice goes a long way.
