  1. 9:05. I'm ready for a nightmare of a game.
  2. I'm not gonna even bother to watch the rest, F*ck it. I'm hungry, I'm gonna go out and get a pizza.
  3. They're gonna blow this and lose the game, I can feel it.
  4. Come on Ortiz. All you need to do is hit a fly ball, god he's useless right now. PR for ortiz to help try to break up a DP if it comes to it? OH GOD beltre, what are you swinging at! Ugh. NO patience.
  5. Get your first HR here David, just for good measure
  6. Please end this right here. Squandered opportunities in extra innings will kill you. HUGE Mistake there. Just a long fly ball please.
  7. It's gonna be a LOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG night of baseball.
  8. I just can't stand how many rainouts occur this time of year. When its bad, you can get 3+ straight days of rainedout/delay games, it's gets incredibly annoying.
  9. Is there a reason why they wouldn't start the PPD game at 6:10 rather than 7:10 to give them more time to work with?
  10. I realize this and the fact that it will never happen due to the sheer amount of money involved, I'm just saying I'd love to see them try to play through it. I just hate how many rain delays and postponed games we get this time of year.
  11. Am I the only one who feels they should just go ahead and play through rain? If it rains... it rains. Suck it up and play through it. If it's sloppy, it's sloppy. It's not like one team gets an unfair advantage. Sure, it might be an ugly game, but you can't honestly say seeing teams sliding around in the rain/mud screwing up routine plays wouldn't be entertaining. I don't want to hear the "it's dangerous argument" because plenty of other sports play in rain and bad weather. It might just make the sport seem a little less "sissy" in some folks eyes (but really I just want to see guys sliding around in the outfield while a routine flyout turns into an inside-the-park HR).
  12. I don't get this. Tek has been a MUCH better hitter facing LHP from the right side of the plate, why put him in against a RHP? What a crappy lineup. Francona should have waited to put Tek in against a LHP and kept Vmart as DH. For tonight, I would have preferred Vmart behind the plate with maybe even having Lowell as the DH. I also hope they decide to call up Reddick if Ellbury and Cameron need to miss more games.
  13. You can find talent in Japan, just very little elite, HOF kind of talent. Dice-K was WAY overhyped. I like to think of Japanese ball as AAA, it's a good way to judge talent, but it doesn't PROVE anything. I think it's a bit ridiculous giving a huge contract to someone who hasn't even played in a single Professional American baseball game, let alone in the majors. Matsui is a good hitter, but not elite. He came into the league at 29 years of age and was billed as the "Godzilla" of Japanese baseball. He only once posted 30+ HR and has a career SLG of 0.483, OPS of 0.852.
  14. I'd pay to see Ortiz use JZ for batting practice. "Just imagine that his head is the baseball."
  15. Wow. What an idiot JZ is. Doesn't he know that you can't sue someone for copyright sold in a different country. The website is also a no-go because it is still different, fortyfory.com and 40/40.com are two completely different address and names. He needs to stick to what he knows... for that matter, what the hell does he know? Anyways, how can JZ even think this is worthy of anyone's time. He's already extremely rich and famous, does he really have to go after Ortiz now? JZ needs to do less "forties" and more critical thinking. It might prevent him from doing something that makes him look like a complete jerk.
  16. They could always slip V-Mart into the DH slot more often and give Vtek some more games behind the plate. Papi could use less playing time right now. If it were up to me, I'd send Papi down to the minors if he can't figure it out by the end of the month. He needs his at-bats, but we can't keep him in the lineup if he isn't hitting.
  17. I LOVE the new guys. It's gonna be an awesome year.
  18. I think the Nationals are the perfect team for Washington. They suck and are a joke, just like the city they play for.
  19. I'd love to walk out to the head of a great big band tune, but I don't think it would be the "bad-ass" type. For me, I'm going with great jazz-rock: Mahavishnu Orchestra, either "Celestial Terrestrial Commuters" or "Birds of Fire". I think that would be as "bad-ass" as it gets with jazz.
  20. Do you always have so much fun talking to yourself?
  21. Nice guessing! I hate guessing on these types of quizzes, either you know it or you don't, guessing shouldn't count (unless it's a good educated guess).
  22. I've never bothered to learn players numbers in any sport, can't imagine I'd do well in this. Edit: Just got through the first 10 only getting 1 right... on a guess. I'm not even going to bother with the rest.
  23. Pedroia won the MVP without hitting 20+ HR or getting anywhere near 100+ RBIs, the 2 stats which you think are the most telling. Clearly the people who actually matter in baseball don't agree with you... at all.
  24. The easy solution: don't get hung up on just one stat. The way to get the best picture of a hitters worth is to look at all the stats; BA, OPS, situational hitting, RAR, playing time, etc. The most telling is OPS, but even that alone isn't always enough to distinguish hitters.
