  1. Some people see what they want to see, not whats actually there. Now, I don't know the exact level of passion Drew or anyone else has, but it is evident in his play that he hustles, plays hard, and IS emotional, and as far as I know he puts in the practice time to be good. Anyways, you are right too, it is impossible to actually quantify, I was half-joking, I'm still pumped up from the Celtics lastnight. Rondo!
  2. Sure it can, in "Rondo" or "KG" points. Example: Last nights Rondo play where he stole the ball, dove to get it, got up and finished with a layup. That's quantifying passion and "will to win".
  3. Wake vs Halladay and the reverse lock strikes again! "I'm lovin' it!"
  4. JACOBY!!!! 7-0 facing Halladay. AWESOME.
  5. This is why I hate NL rules, 1 out 8th batter up, we basically have 1 out to get the runs in. BS. EDIT: AND HE DELIVERS!!!!! YES!!! Still hate Scutaro?
  6. DREW! BELTRE!!! Got him on the ropes, now go for the jugular!
  7. Not that it even matters when they get paid, it's not like they live check to check... bastards...
  8. He's right, he's under-appreciated by fans, not undervalued.
  9. Trouble as in they may very well lose to the Celtics. The C's are for real. Don't let the injury riddled regular season fool you, this team is healthy, hungry, and peaking at the perfect time. Watch out Lakers.
  10. I don't believe in superstitions, but I have to say, Wilbon's timing was absolutely horrible, Dice-K gives up a bloop hit RIGHT as he mentions the no-hit bid on the half-time report.
  11. Everyone's getting ready for Celtics game 3 tonight, tip off soon.
  12. So far in may: .358, .397, .774, 1.170 OPS, 7 HRs.
  13. Lincecum lasted just 5 innings giving up 5 runs against the lowly dbacks.
  14. This lineup tonight makes me want to puke. Mcdonald leading off? My god, we have no depth.
  15. So is it safe to say Ortiz is back?
  16. Speechless. They keep finding ways to lose.
  17. Just got back from driving my mom back to/from work and can't believe we took the lead!!!!! Is Ortiz finally back? He's raking.
  18. Can we just cut Matsuzaka? I don't want him on this team anymore.
  19. Lackey is getting paid to be an Ace, he just happens to be our #3 starter because we have 2 other Aces (well, Beckett is losing that title fast). He's performing like a #4/5 starter; he isn't living up to his contract so far.
  20. Youk is 31, so I wouldn't call him the future of the team and at $9+ million this year and $12+ million the next 3 seasons, I wouldn't call him cheap either. He is, however, part of the "core" of the team and I wouldn't want to trade him unless we can replace his .900+ OPS.
  21. For all the Beltre hate, he's been flashing the glove lately as well as leading the team in hitting, 3rd on the team in RBIs and an .800 OPS. Oh, and with RISP this season: .371 BA, 1.05 OPS. I think it's time people accept the fact that we have a pretty good third baseman.
  22. I REALLY hope he's not teasing us because I could get used to having the old Ortiz back again.
