Come on, you should know better than taking me so seriously. Anyways, I should have clarified. We didn't get dice-k to have an average career, we expect him to be an Ace. As for Otsuka, he was average at best (yes, you are right, successful). Saito is pretty much the only Japanese pitcher to have sustained dominance (albeit 4 years so far). Kuroda isn't even in the majors yet, so I don't know why you are bringing him up.
Anyways, DiceK was billed as having great command when we picked him up. And of course I went overboard with saying they stole $50 million, but it's a STUPID requirement nonetheless and IS still a waste of money right now.
