  1. HEY, I don't want salt in my macchiato.
  2. Looks like Gabbard will get 2ER out of this inning. Very nice outing overall.
  3. Ya, that was bs. Gonzo was 100x better. Stat Comparison for 2006 Gonzalez - 7E 4.36Range Factor .863ZR (zone rating) .985F% Jeter - 15E 4.14Range Factor .810ZR .975F% The numbers CLEARLY show that Gonzalez was better defensively.
  4. YOUK!!!! All-star game. Here you come.
  5. 91 pitches. Another inning for Gabbard, or is that it for him?
  6. Come on Gabbard, lets get this 3rd out.
  7. Nice k. Lets get a quick DP here and keep him fresh.
  8. Lol, he was talking about the play the other day. It's just my opinion. I just don't think he consitantly plays hard out there, or at least it doesn't look that way. It could just be that he it's just the fact that he is quiet, doesn't have any standout personality that some "classic" Red Soxs have. But I guess my point is that I haven't been impressed by Drew, and he certainly hasn't been playing like a $14 million guy. Hopefully he'll break out of this slump and prove me wrong.
  9. I'm not saying that he misplayed that particular play, just stating my observation and opinion from what I have seen thus far this season.
  10. Yea, but I don't think I have really seen JD give 100% out in RF. Just my opinion. I'm trying to see truth in what people have said about him in the past.
  11. Gabbard is looking like a #3 guy, let alone a #5 guy. This kids got great stuff. I liked him last year and I'm liking him even more this year. His stuff is just nasty.
  12. JD Drew, Dive? Instant DL anyone? I think the Jury is still out on Drew. I haven't seen him really throw himself out there to make catches (as we saw Trot do regularly) and he isn't hitting.
  13. I agree BoSox, but Gabbard should get Beckett's starts until he comes off the DL. If he looks good, as he does now and he did last year, then I would think about moving him into the #5 spot. I'd rather give a rookie with promise in the #5 hole, especially if they can give you a better chance of winning, than a 33 year old guy who isn't even a starter. Just my opinion. Yea, the jury still is out on Gabbard. But he has GREAT stuff, has done well in the bigs last year, as wells as AAA this year, and is looking good now. I just think this kid could be a solid starter in the future.
  14. Man, Hudson with a 7 pitch 3rd. Come on guys, make him work!
  15. Only thing is that he might deserve more money. 10 year, $300 million seems more like a fair contract.
  16. BoSox, your a genius!!!! Brilliant!
  17. Come on, stop swinging at balls.
  18. Gabbard is rolling (knocking on wood). So good so far.
  19. Damn. What a nasty curve. Just nasty. 4K
  20. Come on Manny, make 'em pay for that mistake. Pop one over the monster.
  21. I agree Kilo, I'm assuming that Gabbard will get Beckett's next start/any other starts he might miss. But if he demonstrates that he can pitch well in the majors, I wouldn't mind seeing him take the 5th spot in the rotation until Lester gets back.
  22. I don't like that move. Hudson is sucking, were hitting him, so why bunt? Swing boys, swing.
  23. And Hudson continues to get knocked around.
  24. Very impressive. If he pitches well today, you have to think that Tito consider using him as their 5th starter and putting Tavarez back into the Pen until Lester is ready.
