  1. Howie Kendrick, 2B
  2. As brutal as it has been watching Papi, I'm not throwing in the towel pre June. If June rolls around and he still can't catch up to a FB, then I believe him to be utterly done. Enough to the fact that if they can't trade him, they should eat the $ and release him out right. In the very least the lineup should be shifted until he shows some sign of life.
  3. Whats everyone's opinion on Carlos Santana, the Catching prospect for the Guardians. He's in AA and hitting well. He's blocked by V-Mart and Shoppach. Would he be worth sending some top tier talent the other way to get him?
  4. I picked Madison Bumgarner. He's the top LHP prospect behind David Price. Pitching in the NL West will be an added bonus for him when he reaches the bigs. I'm curious to see what the general public opinion is on him here.
  5. Madison Bumgarner, SP
  6. Not sure why they keep taking those pitches. They look good. Anyone have that feed where it shows where the ball goes in the K-zone?
  7. It looked like he could have. But it's about the worst sun/cloud combo there today. Balls are very difficult to get a good read on.
  8. Fair points. And it's not like there are a lot of good LHP SP anyways.
  9. Both have stuff. Carmona's stuff is better. Both are an extreme reach at this point.
  10. When you put it like that it makes some sense. I'll be honest my original reaction was not a good one at the thought of this deal. But now it doesn't seem as bad. Pirates just inked him to an extension if I'm not mistaken. I doubt they move him anytime in the near future.
  11. Ya I heard that too. I thought it was odd. He could have phrased it better. He probably would like to. But he can't now that he lied to the Gov't. He has to stick to his guns or face serious prison time. If the Gov't said we won't put you in Federal prison, we will give you probation like we did with Tejada, I think he would come clean. I honestly think he just doesn't want to go to prison. No one can be in that much denial.
  12. What's Clement looking like this season? He's a guy I know with big upside. Is he Teagarden like? Or would he be worth legit player(Masterson), or a top prospect? Is there any prospect Catcher out the worth any of the Sox top talent outside of Wieters?
  13. :what: That is a horrible trade. Maybe if Masterson showed no promise to be a good SP and was likely to be a career RP.
  14. Cubs, Braves and Marlins. The Cubs and Braves where always on TV, so I watched a ton of there games growing up. I lived in Florida for awhile. Went to a lot of there AA, and ST games. Was able to watch Beckett, Burnett and some others come up through the system. I have a healthy respect for their player development. And as a financial under dog, it's always fun to see them contend. But in the end all 3 are a far far distant 2nd. Outside of that I like to watch certain players more then certain teams.
  15. Mauer becomes a FA in 2010. Posada's deal is up in 2010. Enough said. Feel free to connect the dots:D
  16. Esposito and Wagner have upside but there both 2+ years out. If the Sox make any TDL deals(Penny for example), i would guess they would try and bring back a Catching prospect with promise. Either that or they will trade for one eventually. Nice thought about Mauer. But I'm sure the Yankees will have same idea. So we know how that will end up. Plus his back issues have some warranted concerns. Will he be able to catch the entire length of his contract. Or will he need time at 1B/DH like Posada?
