In this sort of draft you have to reach for some players. All of us are going to take chances on young semi proven player, over maybe a more proven player that is older, Halladay for example. He is an ace now, but 5 years from now is iffy. Danks may be a reach, but a reach with major upside.

My guess would be at some point Joba does go back to the pen, and the Yankees bring in a SP to replace him. Kevin Millwood for example.

The offense won't be 07 like. But I would imagine it to be better then last season. And last season it was nothing to sneeze at. The addition of Taylor and Galloway add solid veteran depth. And Tate may not contribute this season, but could be productive down the road if he keeps his s*** together of course. The defense was old and slow last season. They have done a decent job of adding some good pieces to help. Springs is a solid DB. But he is getting up there in age and can't afford to lose many steps. Chung, Butler and Mckenzie all look to have potential. But only time will tell.
