    According to those stats, In 500 AB's, Guzman gets on base 15 more times the Green. 53 games left, roughly 200 AB's(not exact obviously). means Guzman probably gets on base 7-9 times more the Green would. Is that a big of an upgrade? Then add in his glove and the 8M+, it looks like a bad idea.

    Go find another organization that could have lost their #3 and #4 SP and been as good(not the last week) as the Red Sox have been. Most teams crumble if that were to happen.

    Guzman is the fat chick you take home from the bar after drinking too much. At the time it seems like a good idea. But in the morning you kicking yourself for hooking up with a cow that's now taking up space in your bed....

    No Green isn't ideal. But will Guzman really make that much difference? I see a fatter version of Lugo... At this point I think defense is more important at SS then hitting.

    I'm siding with Crespo and Dojji here. I think patience rather then pushing the panic button will end up being better in this situation. I was intrigued by Guzman at first. But the more I think about it and read about him I'm not sold on him. But that's just my opinion.

    Guzman has some pro's and con's. You have to take 2010 into account as well IMO. Will acquiring Guzman effect what the team does in the off season? Would his cost prevent them from offering more $ to certain FA's? Taking that into account+ his inability to get on base+ a questionable glove, the acquisition loses a little of it's luster IMO. I mean, is he that much better then Lugo? On the other hand it might be better then having Green/Woodward doing their best dirt devil impressions @ SS. It's a tough choice really.

    The Yanks are hot right now. But if one of CC/AJ/AP goes down, and the offense comes back to earth, they will be in the same predicament as the Sox. It's far from over. But see you wouldn't know that would you? This is about the point in the season when your team is struggling that you normally bail out.
