  1. Ok well, I'm gonna sit back now and let it play out. I've learned my lesson about getting sucked into these Twitter battles of contradicting reports. Especially when they come out every 10 minutes.
  2. Ah I see said the blind man So what do you think of this Blanton Business? Curt Young must have given the thumbs up right? BTW did you get my message about customizing name?
  3. Hmm interesting take on the situation. Adding another SP isn't the worst thing ever. i wonder who is going back. Could Philly have an interest in Cameron?
  4. Normally I would agree. But the Lee signing had many implications for the Red Sox and AL East I believe. Even more so with the new "Blanton to the Red Sox" rumor that just surfaced.
  5. :what: I mean he is 3M cheaper then Dice-K. But what are they giving up and who are they moving for what? Blanton means another trade of some sort IMO. It's an odd rumor. Blanton I guess makes for a decent #5. Probably more dependable health wise then Dic-K has been. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. Of course Heyman has been whiffing at an alarming rate this winter, so we will see.
  6. Muuaaahhh I called this yesterday afternoon when the story broke about the mystery team and how much he loved them! This is great.
  7. Lee going to Philly would be excellent  I can't think of another team he would take less years to play for? I know they have some rule about SP contracts. But maybe after losing Werth they decided to bend it a bit. I wonder if they offered something like 4/100M or 5/100M and he's really considering it?
  8. And since when does a 5 game stretch discredit a season as a whole? :dunno:
  9. AJ was pretty good in his 1st season in NY.
  10. I'm betting Philly is the mystery team
  11. Who's going to be a able to afford him? Presumably the Yankees and Red Sox will be out of the running because I doubt he will want to DH half the season. So I guess that leaves the Nats, Cubs, ,Tigers, Angels and Dodgers as teams that have some combination of vacancy at 1B/DH/3B(?), can afford the contract and have shown a willingness to pay one player 20M+ AAV. Does he really leave St. Louis for any of those teams? Him going to Wrigley would be interesting
  12. Plump I remember you. But for the newer guys that don't, I can see how your posts may have come off different to them, thus leading to some of the response's I have been reading The BP is an issue. But even with that and the injuries, the team was still competitive until the last week of the season. Given the hopeful healthy return of key players + the additions of Agon and Crawford, this team could very well over come a mediocre BP and still be a contender for a WS. They have Paps, Bard, Wake and Doubront right now. I'd like to see them sign Fuentes and Guerrier and/or depending on the Martin talks, trade for a guy like Nunez(FL) or Tejeda(KC). I think that woud be a very good BP. I'd also be ok with bringing Oki back instead of Fuentes on a shorter less $ deal. I think he could rebound.
  13. I can see him fist pumping after closing out the WS next season already
