  1. yes, they do "Nova has two plus secondary pitches with his curveball and changeup. He commands both of them consistently as well."
  2. Mostly because we can read the tea leaves and we arent managing or coaching. And the decisions he f***s up are obvious. Because he f***ed up and went to f***ing Gaudin, he'll now have to overextend his pen and possibly go to extra innings in game 1 of a 4 game set. He's a horrible manager
  3. http://yankees.scout.com/2/942442.html Requires subscription and they describe exactly what is happening to him right now. 2 plus pitches, mid 90s heater with good movement and pretty solid control. His problem has always been confidence and the ability to set up hitters. He's improving on the latter, but the former is going to limit him this yr
  4. Girardi needs to be fired. What a f***ing *******
  5. Gaudin? Jesus f***ing Christ. Someone needs to assrape Girardi with a hot poker the f***
  6. His curveball was money tonight and has been very, very good thus far in his big league career. He dominates when he locates his fastball. His problem seems to be that he loses command/confidence in the fastball, the retreats from it. He's a kid. He has 3 plus pitches. He just needs the confidence to not back away from them when he hits a rut
  7. I would have gone to Wood.
  8. It wasnt the correct move. The s***** thing is, the Cervelli interference hurt. We might be out of the inning by now
  9. Yep. Leave him in for Longoria. Great f***ing idea. Jesus Christ Joe, make it clear to everyone that you dont care about the f***ing division so we can stop wasting our time watching. Christ
  10. Joe is seeing pink elephants and listening to Pink Floyd. Great job Cervelli, you f***
  11. His biggest issue has been lefties. Right after the ASB, hit OPS vs righties was near .900, but his OPS vs lefties was in the mid .500s. If, and this is a big if, Long has tweaked something to where he could even be a .700OPS hitter vs lefties, then he will be very, very solid
  12. Inexplicable too. He's at 72 pitches.
  13. He just seems to detonate in the 6th. Might be time to get the pen warming
  14. Absolutely, sox fans should be excited about him.
  15. A lefty with a 95mph fastball and solid slider has a big league ceiling. His change has a long way to go before he can be considered a solid starting pitching prospect. But as a reliever, I think his ceiling is either as setup or close, ie high end/very valuable. You are right to have him in the top 10, he's a very strong prospect
  16. Sinker is diving tonight
  17. He has an .828OPS in the second half, and the biggest thing that makes me hopeful is the fact that he's starting to hit lefties. From April through July, he was truly a platoon player stuck in an everyday role. If he can carry over his ability to hit lefties, then he is gonna have a bounceback 2011
  18. His OPS is 20 points higher than Jackson's and Grandy has played very good defense. I am going to go out on a limb and say that he is a major breakout candidate for next season
  19. He's got a long way to go to be a starter. He needs to improve his durability and essentially create his change. My guess is that he ends up as a high end reliever with his arm and his breaking ball.
  20. Granderson hits #20. He is really, really proving his worth
  21. Captain GIDP in the box
