    They might. But I hold to my prediction. ARod will get up with the tying run in scoring position and choke. Tex very well might choke before him

    Prediction for the 9th inning. We get 2 men on with nobody out. We drive in 1 run over the next 2 outs and get ARod up with the tying run on 2nd and he'll either K or pop out to end the game.

    From what I have heard, Lavarnway is probably going to be transitioned off the C position next yr. Now, the Yankees dont have much choice since Montero cannot play the OF and 1b is tied up for 6 more yrs after this one. SO they have a little more interest in keeping him at C and not transitioning him since his only other viable big league position would be DH

    Montero has improved at C this yr to a point where he looks like he could be a viable catcher option. Granted, he would definitely be below average defensively, but probably not much worse than Posada

    We're gonna see a pretty big influx over the next 2 yrs assuming the Yankees are actually patient enough to guide some kids through the system. We might be able to close the gap some, but it is gonna be awfully hard to overtake the sox in young homegrown talent for the forseeable future

    I am persistently baffled by Girardi's lineups. He has Gardner batting in front of Cervelli in the 8 hole. Gardner is much more likely to get on base in front of the top of the order if he were in the 9 hole, but in the 8 hole if he gets on we have f***ing Cervelli hitting.

    I have no problem with challenging Jones with nobody on. I have more of a problem with the HBP to Izturis.

    Our situational hitting must be the worst in the league. Kearns cannot get a runner to third with 0 outs and Cervelli cannot hit a f***ing flyball with 1 out and the sacks packed. Now, captain grounder is up

    Exactly. Sometimes guys in funks need some time to clear their heads. And the thing is, the situation always seems to be finding Kearns. It seems like every K he has had has seen at least 1 hitter in scoring position
