  1. Our defense cannot field, our offense cannot hit and now Nova cannot get the pitcher out. How the f*** did we fall this far after winning 10 in a row?
  2. I cant watch the game because of f***ing fox!
  3. Huh? Is Buchholz injured?
  4. Well, looks like we had 2 perfect turns through the rotation, and now we are 60% of the way through a complete dud of a turn
  5. I think I called for the sox to go 7-3 over their next 10 prior to the first Marlins series. That would mean a loss tonight would clinch that!
  6. If Ellsbury's power turns out to be real, I have a feeling there will be a strong push for the sox to resign him. Right now, nobody can be sure since he is injured. And if the question is "if" he will demand a big contract, his answer is his agent. Jacoby is gonna be a $100 million man if he proves healthy next yr
  7. Hughes has reverted to prior form tonight. Lots of K's, 2HRs and 4 runs in 3 innings.
  8. Well, Hughes and Nova needed to correct from the s*** they put up the first 6 weeks of the season. We wont be pitching to a sub 2 ERA from our starters, that just wont happen. But I suspect we will see a lot more quality starts from the crew. We have a very good rotation, and they have finally started to pitch like it
  9. BTW, Ortiz admitted the clubhouse was a problem last September. The only thing that really changed was the manager.
  10. I dont have a problem with it. Hell, I even predicted they were gonna lose last night. Kuroda had been otherworldly. He needed to correct, and he did, even though he wasnt horrible
  11. I wont be able to watch the game tonight. I hope Kuroda can keep it rolling. Only 4ER in his last 28IP
  12. Where's the Trot Nixon draft?
  13. He built a foundation. Theo built the rest of the house
  14. Thing is, when we sputtered, we were puttering around .500 and when we surged, we blew past .500. When the sox sputtered, they were well below .500, then got to .500 and are sputtering again. Good teams can play .500 ball when they arent going well and can play well past that when they are going right
  15. 10 IN A ROW!!!. And all against good teams. This was supposed to be the buzzsaw of the season. Instead, the Yankees went all chain saw on these teams and are mowing them the f*** down. Our offense has been good, but the pitching has been unreal. CC joined the club tonight. I think tomorrow ends the streak as Kuroda has to come back down eventually, but this is great. And the O's lost, 3 games up in the L column
  16. You get a guy like Taillon and you wont need to worry about it. Another potential suitor would be the Brewers after Greinke departs via FA.
  17. A team with poor chemistry flops in crunch time. And as the season wears on, it makes it harder and harder to weather the blows of being down early.
  18. Cano has entered beast mode. .911OPS and now 13 bombs. He's a legit MVP candidate, albeit in the #2 spot or lower behind Hamilton.
  19. You're gonna think I am crazy, but how about the Pirates? They are getting insane revenue sharing money and have a team that is only a handful of games out. They are getting good performances from Burnett and McDonald, but could really use another solid pitcher to put themselves on the map. You send Beckett and money to the Pirates and they might part with Taillon, who I think is a future ace, but 3 yrs away
  20. Olney has sources, I can guarantee you that one. He just wont reveal them, as he shouldnt. He's a good journalist and isnt full of s***
  21. I think the execs needed to see if they had the team that collapsed in September, or the team that surged prior to that. Thus far, it's apparent that the September team is what you have. If Beckett proves to be healthy and not need something more serious, then he is gonna be a goner before next season. Bank on it
  22. 8 innings from CC. I hope they let him go 9 tonight
  23. Bradley is a solid talent, just the kind of talent required to get anyone better than a middle of the road pitcher or platoon starter
