  1. f*** you Hal. f*** you
  2. We have trouble with RH pitching. We have no good lefties. Gallo isn’t a good lefty. Hicks isn’t a good lefty. The rest of the team is f***ing right handed. Suzuki is right handed. Seager checks every f***ing box. Yeah, maybe he needs to move to 3b. So be it. He’s the best left handed bat on the market
  3. His defense has been stellar for the past 4 years. He has hit in 2 of those 4 years and when he is on, he is a force to be reckoned with. But 7 years for a 31 year old SS is a lot and will likely be an albatross for the Rangers. But they could not hit once they dealt off Gallo last year. They needed to fix that
  4. Barnes will do what he always does. Come out of ST firing seeds and then will fade with pressure and repetitive use.
  5. No, they're not bargains. But they're quality players getting the money they deserve. Honestly, Gray's signing has the most upside for the money involved. The guy has insane stuff and had reverse expected splits in Colorado. He might be the next Texas Lance Lynn.
  6. Don't remind me. Cannot wait to field Simmons at SS for 55 games next year before his ankle explodes. Then have to play our playoff game with a AAAA guy who sucks ass. Yanks are going backwards here. The Jays just went all in. Ryu, Gausman, and Berrios is a tough 3 headed monster with Ray still in play. Semien is a loss, for sure, but that team can hit with or without him
  7. $42 mil over 3-4 years??!? For a 37 year old pitcher who couldn't go in an elimination game because his arm was sore?
  8. Cohen is the new Steinbrenner. Brash in the media, more money than god, and a true fan of the team he owns.
  9. Yanks sitting out the big signings. Seager expected to sign in Texas. Scherzer across town with Mets. Correa remains the last big fish of the SS's with Semien signing
  10. Wacha is insurance for Houck and Whitlock in the rotation
  11. Heaney got $7 mil. I think you’ll see somewhere in that ballpark. Starters get overpaid
  12. It’s a Bloom move. Wacha has seen his average fastball tick up by close to 1mph over the past three seasons and his 21 xFIP was almost identical to his xFIPs from his highest war seasons in StL. Wacha’s issues have been the homer and that only magnified in 21. Maybe Bloom envisions him throwing a sinker?
  13. 1 year deal. Details to follow
  14. We are only scratching the surface of post concussion care. I’ve met people who cannot be in bright light due to their traumatic brain injuries. Those who have chronic dizziness, headaches, memory loss, personality changes, etc. if this kid walks away from baseball with a few million in his pocket and the ability to remember his grandkids names, he should be happy
  15. Frazier is broken. When the brain is irreparably harmed, it’s time to cut bait. Feel for the kid, because the hands are quick and the talent immense, but concussions have ruined him
  16. Guys who can play the position but not well usually end up as utility guys, COFers and DH's. Helps the team out if Yorke can handle 2b, 3b in a pinch and not be absolutely abysmal
  17. If Yorke cannot be a reliable defender, he drops a fair amount as he becomes more of a utility or COF guy. Reminds me of a guy the Yanks had named Nick Solak
  18. Means is a good pitcher when he is on, but he came back from a shoulder injury and sucked ass. Yeah, his FB velo was there, but he wasn't right.
  19. Why stop at first selection. This is a slam dunk for a team with zero pitching. He can be stashed on yourt 60 day IL as soon as February
  20. I remember when the Padres selected Luis Torrens from the Yanks. Kid was coming off shoulder surgery and hadn’t played above long season A ball. It ruined his development
  21. Ward is an easy one for a s***** team. Select him, 60 day IL him then activate the rehab window when he is ready. It’ll give the selecting team 30 days to see if he’s any good while also guiding his rehab.
  22. We don’t need a Salvy Perez at C. We could use a guy like Gomes who can handle the blocking and pitch calling and isn’t embarrassing behind the dish. We need better D out of our catchers. SS and CF, we need the whole package
  23. Baseball is built up the middle. I like Torres as a 2b. I like our pitching staff. Our catcher sucks. We don’t have a SS. We don’t have a CFer
