  1. Throw another RH hitter on the pile. I think Correa is a great player, but I doubt Scrooge McDuck plans to spend that much
  2. Renfroe is just as likely to hit .175 and end up on the bench as he is to repeat his career year. Bloom got him for nothing, enjoyed his career year and sold him off to get two good prospects. JBJ was the cost of doing business. Like it or not, this is how Bloom team builds, and what’s he’s shown is that rather than tie up massive amounts of dollars in a single player, he uses the Sox monetary advantage to buy prospects (Ottavino deal). Sox were rebuilding. Bloom isn’t gonna shoot his load to keep an overachieving 21 team together or over-improve a team less likely to repeat. He’s got a plan and to this point it’s been a good one
  3. We have an offense problem. This guy doesnt fix that
  4. Bradley ends up your 4th OFer. They sold high on Renfroe. You could see a deal coming from a mile away
  5. What’s the allure to Kiner-Falefa? Yes, great glove. Yes, good speed. But the guy is a slap hitter who never walks and never hits for power and is also right handed. WTH is Cashman thinking?
  6. And this lockout is going to last. Very real chance the season is delayed. And no, you don’t include GM and manager when you consider talent. Yanks have more talent right now. I just have little assurance that the guy paying the bills will expand his budget to allow for further talent acquisition. And Bloom has proven he turns s*** into diamonds
  7. No, I am saying we should be better than the sox as of right now, but with a s*** manager and an architect who literally has his wallet taped shut, we are outgunned on the leadership side. And that meant a lot last year to the sox. Yanks perpetually get less out of their talent. Last year, the sox squeezed every drop out of their team's talent and nearly went to a world series
  8. It will be, for sure. But with the top tier guys off the market outside of Correa, it almost entirely assures most of our broken team returns AND we use our prospect capital to acquire said improvements, which is TOTALLY BACKWARDS! Unless the players score an incredible victory, I doubt we see a shortening of rookie control beyond maybe 1 year shaved off. Teams that win have great players on rookie control, or have great support players on rookie deals. Even the juggernaut Dodgers of 2020 had many key players on rookie deals. If we cut off our pipeline of young talent to get guys in their final 2 years of control, we will essentially destroy ourselves from inside out. You spend the money now to fill the holes, let your minor league talent develop and replace said expensive players with minor league talent.
  9. Steer clear of Rodriguez. He put up these three K rates in 18-20. 1.4, 8.7, 13.1. His K rate last year was under 6. He was getting by with smoke and mirrors before he went to Atlanta and imploded. There is something wrong for him to not be generating swings and misses. Let a s*** team fix that and deal for him at the deadline if they do
  10. Big Maple got cut down a couple years ago and is now a table somewhere. His body is destroyed, but Bloom signed him. So I expect him to be lights out for you down the stretch and head your rotation in 23
  11. No, because our only lefty in our underachieving lineup is a guy who makes contact 63% of the time. Because our catcher is going to be the ghost of Gary Sanchez past. Because, right now, we are relying on a third basemen to play SS, a 2nd basemen to play 3rd and an chronically injured hulk to play 1b. We have nobody to play CF if you assume Gallo cannot play the position. Right now we are relying on Aaron Hicks to play 130 games, which we all know he cannot. This team just jettisoned off its best swiss army knife in Wade who also made the team way more athletic. We have made zero moves to at least give a reasonable replacement for Kluber. We have the depth to ensure we can handle his loss, but adding a veteran option, maybe someone on the higher end of capability, would be a good idea going up against the Jays now fearsome threesome. The Yanks should be better than the sox, but the sox have a better architect and manager, which apparently equates to a lot
  12. And we are 77 mins from the lockout and Yanks have done dick. f*** you Cashman. f*** you Hal. Very excited for a 4th place finish in 2022 you f***ing *******s.
  13. Brian Kelly leaving ND, yanks sitting back during a dizzying FA period and now Yanks tendering Gary Sanchez. What the actual f*** is up with today
  14. Seager signing made the most sense in the world here. He got less than many people expected. Not pleased with management
  15. Hope not. Story isn’t good outside of coors
  16. He's also not currently on the team, as in Cash hasnt secured a shortstop yet and the moratorium starts at midnight. Offseason fail already by f*** Hal
  17. Gomes off the board. Cashman really killing it out there doing nothing. f*** Hal
  18. Watch, our opening day IL SS will be Simmons next year
  19. I have a sneaking suspicion that our target is actually a super villain in Correa.
  20. In an attempt to save money, Hal switched to T mobile and Brian’s phone has been on the fritz
  21. f*** you Cashman, you’re just God’s farts (bonus points if you get the movie reference)
  22. Olson does check boxes but also costs us prospects. Rather spend money and hoard prospects.
  23. The big boys have made zero major moves. Mets are the only ones who’ve added considerably. Yanks, Sox, Dodgers mostly pat. Strange. Makes me wonder if the MLB is going to make the CBA far more restrictive at the top
  24. And now the Marlins make the strike to get Stallings from Pitt, a guy who can play defense like a younger Yadi. This off-season plan sucks.
  25. Yanks are not committing to putting their best team out there. They’re playing Ray ball without having a former Ray Exec running it.
