  1. Kelly should be a reliever. He should be a sinker slider reliever who will likely run it up over 100mph in short stints
  2. I like replay. I want to get it right. But if you don't get the call right, then replay is dumb
  3. That held? Wow. They must be drunk
  4. Severino would be more a showcase or an emergency option. Capuano is throwing in the minors now. Nova should be back soon. Tanaka apparently should be back soon. We have Whitley in the rotation now as is. We would need to lose multiple starters and have rehabs delayed to have to go to Severino. Lindgren would be a bonus, but as a LH reliever, we already have Shreve, Wilson and Miller. Not really a need for now
  5. Hanley out with a left shoulder sprain. That could mean a multitude of things. Could be a mild cuff strain or a complete tear of the cuff or labrum. He's had that shoulder operated on twice. You wont know until the inflammation goes down and an MRI is done
  6. The problem is, a lot of fans and execs in Boston have fond memories of the flashes of massive talent Buchholz once had. He's no longer that guy. He's a shell of his former self, and his former self was an inconsistent, oftly injured starter
  7. I love Clay "The Stopper" Buchholz. Getting hit titties lit up against this pathetic offense, lol
  8. Time to move Betts down in the order btw. He's young and needs some pressure off of him. He also needs to learn how to hit breaking balls. The kid kills fastballs of all types, but he's lost on breaking pitches
  9. He's right. There is nothing more demoralizing as an offense to effectively expect to be in a hole early. The early holes and high pitch counts have led to over exposure of a suspect bullpen and they're starting to crack as well. The good thing is, you have your stopper on the hill tonight....lol
  10. Stabilizing? They have the worst rotation in baseball. Their lowest ERA starter to this point cannot break a pane of glass (Masterson) and cannot keep baserunners off the bases. Miley has been mediocre in 2 starts and an absolute dumpster fire in the rest. Buchholz has been awful. Kelly has the best peripherals, but he is far too hittable. Porcello is your only stable guy out there and his numbers are inflated by really one bad start. UN?, there is nothing to tell me your rotation is stabilizing.
  11. Lester proved he could do it in Boston and was absolutely money in the playoffs. Porcello is a nice player who has never been an ace. Lester had been an ace for 5 seasons or so
  12. Meh, if Tanaka goes under the knife, we are gonna be going hard after Price.
  13. Nova should be back June 1. If the Yankee brass isn't lying and Tanaka really only has a wrist strain, he should be back by then as well. I also expect Severino to be in the mix either as a late inning guy late in the year or as a rotation guy depending on depth. They have really managed his innings to the tune of 5IP per start from the get go. That to me makes me think he is on an inning count with the restriction early to allow him to have a longer year.
  14. Disagree sk. Your rotation and pen are a joke and in this day and age, your offense isn't strong enough to power past it. You're now the Rockies
  15. Petit sucks. Ryan just pulled his hammy again. Drew's versatility allows us to carry a utility guy who probably shouldn't man SS. Pirela can hit and he can run. It remains to be seen if he can play D. DFA Petit, bring up Pirela and move forward. Btw, very pleased with our starters in this series. Solid outings from CC and Eovaldi and a great start for 5.2 from Warren before he post it completely. Our pen is good enough to turn those games into wins. And since our pen is deep and our minor league depth is huge, we should be able to mitigate burnout. After a rough first nine games, this team is looking up
  16. Hey guys. (JM grabs a beverage and popcorn). So you're debating the loss of Lester again, huh (JM sits back and kicks feet up to watch the show).
  17. You are right UN. It's too early to crown a FA victor or a lead dog in a playoff race. I've heard that you don't panic until Memorial Day but with the 2 WC, you don't panic now til Aug 1
  18. How about Nelson Cruz who has 3 more HR and a much higher OPS?
  19. Alphillip how you doin buddy? You alright. You feel better now that you got that off your chest? Want a binky? You're such a cwanky widdle boy now aren't you?
  20. It's May 2. There is no urgency.
  21. Dominance. Yankees win, thahaaaaaaaaaa Yankees win!!!
  22. Napoli was sitting dead red on pitch 1. He was fooled. And Chris Young found ARod's stash. Booyah!
  23. That second strike was a filthy pitch. No chance there. Dellin has his fastball back. He lost it in the spring, but he's heating up now
