  1. This isn’t a typical fracture. If what The media is reporting about his fracture type is correct, he’s got a little chip avulsed off the bone and it’s not in the joint. The reason why it’s three weeks is for the hematoma to resolve. This isn’t structurally impacting. Now, I didn’t see the X-rays and location is important. Xander has something similar this year and he returned with a “broken ankle” in 2 weeks
  2. No kidding. He was the human white flag
  3. The fact that he’s throwing 98 causes strain on the arm!
  4. This is what he does. When he’s on, he’s amazing. He’s got amazing stuff. He’s prone to the big inning and he sometimes just doesn’t show up at all
  5. He’s the most maddening pitcher to watch. When he’s on, he is dominant. But for a guy who throws has hard as he does and with the movement he gets, he gets squared up far too often
  6. Steady JA. He’ll probably only last 5 innings most times out, but he’s on the right club for that
  7. You’re getting good Nate today. When he’s on, he looks like Cy Young
  8. We’re signing Cubans Rodriguez and Verdecia with that money. We’re also in on Gaston
  9. Yanks got Luke Voit from the Cardinals along with $1 mil in INTL funds for Chases Shreve and Giovanny Gallegos. The INTL money was the most important part for the Yankees. We had spent all of ours and needed to finalize our deals with Verdura and Rodriguez. We’ve got probably one more deal for INTL money to go. In terms of Voit, the Yankees got a RH hitter with power who couldn’t make a rather stacked StL club this year. He’s hitting well in AAA. He’s likely headed to the big club to serve as an offensive option for Boone until either Frazier or Judge return.
  10. Beeks will be up real soon. He might be their #16 prospect, but Deleon, Banda and Honeycutt are all post TJS this year while Snell is on the DL and Archer is likely to be dealt. Beeks might be their only starter soon!
  11. Ho hum, Sheffield throws another gem. He's on cruise control now
  12. I'm sure some seats rumbled, lol. He wasn't the same after that either. He planted that bad knee into the turf. Color me concerned. That knee is arthritic
  13. Every year, every pitcher has a rough spot. He’s still throwing ridiculously hard. His slider still had bite. He’s just not locating. If he saw a major velo plunge, then I’d be concerned
  14. Escobar dealt to DBacks. One bat out of the lineups
  15. Not intraarticular. He’ll be fine once he can swing again
  16. Sounds like it’ll be 3-4 weeks
  17. Not sure what that really means. If it’s in the joint, he’s out 6 weeks. If not, he’ll miss 3-4 weeks. Sucks
  18. We’re agreeing a lot lately
  19. Happ solidifies our rotation. McKinney was staring at a DFA at years end as he’s on the 40 man and is buried on our roster. Drury was obtained to buy Andujar some time. He didn’t need the time and Drury became irrelevant. This was a deal to clear us of two guys who are effectively irrelevant to shore up our rotation for the stretch run.
  20. Prior to the game, it’s the home team. Once the game starts, it’s the umpires
  21. But we’re 1-5 in the Trop this year
  22. Our road record is 30-22, which is usually stellar in a standard year.
  23. We’ve beaten every team this year in head to head aside from Baltimore and TB. I don’t get it
  24. We don't hit in that stadium. I don't know why
