  1. Last I checked, your team was the one under investigation for cheating. 2018*
  2. Looks like the Cessa comment was not accurate. Debunked
  3. I’m aware of that. But we won’t go shopping for replacements until we get all our guys back that are expected back this year. German was awesome last year. Paxton is health away from being an ace. He’s a second tier guy because he cannot seem to pitch much past 150 innings in a season.
  4. The Sox got trounced last year and we didn’t see Sevy til September. We have Cole this year and Paxton back for May 1. Coming out of ST, it looks like 1. Cole 2. Tanaka 3. Happ 4. Montgomery 5. ??? Likely options are Loaisiga, Garcia or Schmidt. Our pen is going to need to be on point. By May 1, Paxton should be back By June 1, German should be back
  5. Cessa for TJS too. Wtf
  6. There is literally no need for the sox to rush Verdugo back. Verdugo wasn't obtained for 2020
  7. Maybe you are right. Or maybe Manfred forgot to record the first sessions or lost his notes.
  8. When you were born you were crying and everyone else was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone else is crying
  9. Then don't tell the media you are going to announce something within a week and go silent for a freaking month.
  10. I'll believe it when I see it. Manfred is a bumbling fool. Watch, he will get another piece of "info" and finally announce the results on opening day. He has literally no idea how to market the game
  11. At this point, why are we even rehashing this. The guy who did the assaulting was not Verdugo. He walked in on it. It stopped. That's all I got out of it. Bryant's issues were a different ball of wax, but he is dead and we move on. Onto the original point of this thread, Not-a-Manfred keeps dragging this thing out. Disgraceful. He said a month ago that he would have a verdict within a week. Now, still no timetable. The guy has ZERO idea how to run the organization. You finish this BEFORE the games start. Let the games starting be the rebirth of spring and move on. Dragging this into spring will put a stain on the games being played. Finish this. To have this investigation looming over actual games would be damaging to the product you are trying to market. It is bad for baseball as a whole
  12. It all depends on approach. Maybe they went minimally invasive? Maybe the damage was less than they thought? Who knows
  13. I saw that too. Their timelines don’t match up, though. They said he could be fully recovered 6 weeks post op rather than 3 months. If he’s ready in six weeks and takes 2-3 weeks to ramp up, that’s April. Maybe the Yanks are planning to keep him away from the cold and stretching him out in Tampa. Who knows
  14. Paxton expected to start a throwing program within 7-10 days. He’s recovering far faster than expectations and the most recent article I read on him said he might only miss 6 weeks before being able to take the mound against big league hitting. It’ll take a couple weeks to build him up again. His surgery was Feb 7. 6 weeks puts him on pace to start building up the last week of March. He’ll go on the IL, but likely the 10 day. He could be fully stretched out by mid April. Conservative return date per the updated article was May 1. Looks like an actual possibility
  15. Never saw the report of his status being undecided. Good for him if they reverse course
  16. Cecil Fielder in 96 for the Yanks was a big one
  17. He wasn’t in the top 5 coming into the season. With Paxton and Sevy our hurt and German suspended, now he’s clearly in the top 5
  18. He’s not “hurt so much”. He had TJS and is finally healthy
  19. The only guy with recurrent injury issues on the staff was Paxton. I’ve acknowledged that and he once again came through with an injury. Sevy was misdiagnosed last year but he finished the year without shoulder or lat issues. His previous history pointed towards a bounce back. Prior to the big trade, the Sox had four guys in their rotation with recurrent injury issues and two who finished the year injured. That’s not the same at all.
  20. Lol. Give me a time when I was wrong on these medical reports provided accurate info was released? I told you guys last year when Nate had the same problem. A 4-6 week timetable initially floated was ridiculous. For a starter to be able to go to 80 pitches again, it’s a 10-12 week return. A reliever can come back in around 8 weeks as there is no need to build them up. I’d rather just get this over with now so we can see Sevy sometime in May
  21. Severino is headed back to NY for another series of tests. My hope is the “test” leads to them removing those loose bodies.
  22. I’m still trying to f***ing understand this logic. He had “loose bodies” ie broken off bits of cartilage or bone chips floating in his elbow. They thought they could settle down with rest. He had the whole f***ing offseason to rest. He returns and the pain returns. How will rest and rehab help this when he’s already had four f***ing months of rest. Fix it. I know he will miss some time and he wants a healthy year, but if he goes into July and can’t handle it, then he’s done for the season. We have depth and we have the lineup and pen to beat teams early. We need a healthy Sevy for October
  23. I criticize the Sox because they’ve got ZERO depth. The name of the game with pitching is depth. No team finishes with the same starting 5 except for the 05 White Sox. From the sounds of it, they’re going to let him try and pitch through this. MRI and CTs negative. But if they know he’s got loose bodies and it’s currently hurting him and we have 5 weeks til the season starts, just f***ing fix it
