  1. It is almost as if Papelbon is toying with the other team and then decides to finish them off.
  2. Papelbon still has the unhittable fastball, but it isnt as untouchable as it was. Now, the guys can foul it off, whereas before, most hitters couldnt make contact with it.
  3. you are too stupid for words
  4. Burnett had one stretch where his sinker didnt sink. He walked Young, Blalock smashed a double, Cruz went deep, Murphy singled, Byrd singled and then Davis smacked the ball to center. Bad stretch. Before that and since then, he's been untouchable.
  5. Interesting how they have moved Ellsbury down. Initially they said it was just going to be vs lefties. Now, he's sitting pretty in the 8 hole vs a righty. I think they finally got sick of the .330OBP at the top of the order. I think the Ellsbury, Green combo is a good move. Ells gets on, steals second and then Green can bunt him over for Pedroia to drive him home.
  6. Putting him in the pen will stunt his growth
  7. a700, why the hell you in this section anyway?
  8. This is why you dont move Chamberlain back to the pen. He can be dominant and as the career goes along, he will be dominant
  9. I have watched the sox games. Lugo still has average to good range, but his decision making, his hands and his arm completely sucks. Green has poor range, has good hands but his arm accuracy is atrocious. Jeter has poor range, but he fields the ball well and throws on target. Not to mention, he's an elite offensive player for his position. As much as you'd like to deny it, Jeter would be a hell of an option if the sox could get him. Dont try to deny that
  10. CMW looked vintage and I dont disagree that Hughes might benefit from some AAA experience. I think they give him another few starts and try to piggyback Hughes and CMW, eventually with CMW taking his slot in the rotation. Fact is, though, Hughes is getting more and more solid and his K rates are increasing. This is a very good sign
  11. yep, the umpires should get credit for that loss. Atrocious umpiring cost us this ballgame. Hopefully Girardi sends a game tap to MLB and those shitheads get canned. 2 huge calls killed us today. Killed us and took a win and made it a loss.
  12. have you watched this game? Jeter beat out a grounder to first by a step and a half and was called out prior to Tex's homer. Then, Posada gets a strike called on him that is neck high prior to bouncing into the DP with the winning run on 3rd and 1 out. Two huge plays
  13. Robertson is a poor choice right now. I would have used Mo
  14. dont worry, Coke will figure out a way to f*** this up
  15. buttf***ed by the umps tonight.
  16. ********. Strike 2 was a foot high, now he protects and bounces into a DP. f***ing garbage. Gotta try to beat 13 guys tonight
  17. Lucky? That is Gardner's game. He's a slasher, thats about it. He's had a bunch of those.
  18. Zach McCallister has been lights out and should be ready for a promotion. His ERA sits at 1.84. His WHIP is in the 1.1 range and he just struck out 10 today in 6.2IP. And he's only 21
  19. I dont care how much he costs. He's the difference between the sox being awesome and being good and the difference between our team being the best in the AL and being near the top.
  20. Tex has been money. f***in money for this team
  21. TIE GAME, ATTA BABY MARK TEIXEIRA!!!
  22. He looked good today. 6 innings should be the end for him. I would expect a DelOkiPap closeout
  23. Betancourt has a freak injury on the mound, 2-1 count on tex, new pitcher coming in
  24. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out down 2, tex up. CMON TEX!
