  1. My dad said "Bullet Bob" was my grandpa's favorite player. That's probably because he was from Iowa.
  2. You will be happy to know that I've changed the skin on my Firefox web browser to Liverpool.
  3. He was only 76? He looked old to me when the Tigers won the World Series back in 1984.
  4. James Naismith was a Canadian by birth, but came up with basketball when he was a physical education instructor at the YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts.
  5. Can't remember if this has ever been posted here or not. If so mods, please merge. Mine: 1. A White Sox-Guardians game in September of 2005. Sox were faltering a little down the stretch and in danger of falling out of first place in the American League Central Division to Cleveland. I had these assclown Guardians fans right behind me yelling "CHOKE!" all night. Cleveland took a one-run lead into the bottom of the ninth. The Sox tied it up, sending it to extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th, Joe Crede hit a walkoff home run. I turned around, grabbed my crotch and screamed "CHOKE ON THESE!" right in the assclowns' faces. 2. Game 7 of the 1998 International Hockey League's Turner Cup Finals. It was the Chicago Wolves against the Detroit Vipers. My buddies and I all had the nervous excitement going. It was the feeling of knowing that there was no tomorrow. Both goalies were playing their best games, as it was a scoreless tie going into the 3rd period. The Wolves eventually broke the tie with a shorthanded goal and won the game 2-0, bringing Chicago its first professional hockey championship since the Blackhawks back in 1963.
  6. That's because it's acually Catalan.
  7. Gonna have to watch the Iowa-Penn State game on ESPN3.com tonight.
  8. That's because Lackey was pitching for your Sox and Buerhle was not for my Sox.
  9. I'm watching the Iowa-Arizona game right now. Arizona coach Mike Stoops needs to switch to decaf.
  10. Iowa is down 14-0 to Arizona at the end of the first quarter. Arizona blocked a punt on Iowa's opening possession and scored two plays later. On Iowa's ensuing possession, Stanzi threw a pick-6.
  11. I gotta wait until 9:30 (CT) to watch my Hawkeyes. They're @ Arizona.

  17. I'm looking forward to the start of the Iowa Hawkeyes' season tomorrow. I'll have to listen to the game via the internet though. The game is on the Big Ten Network.
  18. There's a good chance of that happening. Ozzie rarely passes up a chance to insert "Double Play" Kotsay into the lineup.
