    I'd like to compare this years Sox bullpen to Brittany Spears of 3 years ago. She'e been good in places but you could see the glue coming undone. So the question is, will this years bully turn out to be shaved head Brittany or will they hold it together and resurrect their careers in the spotlight?

    If Crisp can bounce back and Pedrioa shows a learning curve, some hope may be there and I wouldn't classify Varitek as a terrible hitter. He may not be great but he was serviceable until last year and how much were his injuries affecting him at the plate? Hell, I'm just happy they may actually have a bat behind Manny, but I'm crossing my fingers on that.

    Agreed. I loved his potential but he has a long way to go. Last year really didn't do him any favors. Hopefully with all the arms, al beit, mostly mediocre arms in the bully Hansen can spend a year or two developing into a pitcher, not just a thrower.

    On paper, I guess. If Beckett can keep his ERA under 6 and Wakefield stays healthy, but in my mind still too many questions.
