I find the only thing worse than the Red Sox's recent skid is their fanbase of suicidal followers.
I see. I figured Wells would finish off his career in Boston since the people here love him. Trading him seemed like the ultimate white flag. A lot of people have already given up on the season, but I haven't. I understand the trade from the standpoint that it was designed to benefit Wells..other than that, trading 1/3 of the Red Sox's remaining healthy and solid starters seemed asinine.
