There is no way that we get Zito during the season. You could say that we need him, but I think sacrificing a Pedroia, Lester, Ellsbury ect. would be to much for a pitcher who might fail in Fenway.
Does anyone go to any Cape League games? I went to one last year and a couple years ago. It's great entertainment and a great way to see College studs.
I think we should leave Loretta in the 2 hole. Tito should also move Coco down to the 9 hole, making him the second leadoff man. If Coco gets on base, he has a much better chance of scoring with Youk up instead of Gonzalez.
this would be a great, great deal for the Sox. Alvarez has no future with us, so we should trade him when he still has the prospect label on him. Shealy is a great bat and many people think it's major league ready.
I agree. Even if Pedroia flops, which I don't think he will, we'll still have a very good offense. But by saving money, we'll be able to go after the better pitchers on the market.
From Peter Gammons' blog at ESPN.com:"Middle infielder Dustin Pedroia is doing so well at Pawtucket that the Red Sox figure he'll play a role in the final months similar to the contributions of Graffanino last season."
