  1. this guy is great. It seems like in every start he strikes out at least a batter per inning
  2. There is no way that we get Zito during the season. You could say that we need him, but I think sacrificing a Pedroia, Lester, Ellsbury ect. would be to much for a pitcher who might fail in Fenway.
  3. What teams do they play for?
  4. Does anyone go to any Cape League games? I went to one last year and a couple years ago. It's great entertainment and a great way to see College studs.
  5. I have great respect for you
  6.
  7. good deal for the Rays.
  8. Lets hope he misses bats in the minors because strikeout pitchers are more likely to make it to the Show then the finesse pitchers.
  9. I think we should leave Loretta in the 2 hole. Tito should also move Coco down to the 9 hole, making him the second leadoff man. If Coco gets on base, he has a much better chance of scoring with Youk up instead of Gonzalez.
  10. Ted Williams and Pete Rose
  11. I really don't see Theo trading any prospects that are a big part of our future.
  12. maybe im wrong, but I think he meant that Youk could move back to third and Shealy could play first
  13. this would be a great, great deal for the Sox. Alvarez has no future with us, so we should trade him when he still has the prospect label on him. Shealy is a great bat and many people think it's major league ready.
  14. Last year he played SS and 2B. http://www.baseball-reference.com/h/harriwi02.shtml
  15. I agree. Even if Pedroia flops, which I don't think he will, we'll still have a very good offense. But by saving money, we'll be able to go after the better pitchers on the market.
  16. GCL Sox have played 3 games I believe. Chih has 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
  17. And he can play multiple positions. He wouldn't be a bad guy to have on a playoff roster.
  18. I love this guy. His OBP is still over .400, i think, and he has the best speed in the system. That's the perfect blend for a leadoff hitter.
  19. Is this guy better then Hee-Seop Choi? If he is, then Youk could stay at first and Chad could go to third if he makes it to the majors.
  20. Adressing the second paragraph: See the 2nd most recent post in the Dustin Pedroia thread in the Minor League section.
  21. From Peter Gammons' blog at ESPN.com:"Middle infielder Dustin Pedroia is doing so well at Pawtucket that the Red Sox figure he'll play a role in the final months similar to the contributions of Graffanino last season."
  22. Pete Rose- Ted Williams
  23. i wouldn't
