  1. big trades take a little while to trickle out of the MLB office. If it goes to MLB in one minute, it won't come out until at least 5:00, but it is still a trade
  2. yeah, I don't think Kip Wells was the big move we were looking at
  3. a guy on Outside the Lines just mentioned a trade possible with the Braves in which we give up Coco with a prospect to get Andruw Jones he said the Braves wanted Coco Lester and Hansen, but the Sox rejected that and are making progress with counteroffers
  4. i think that this big 4 team deal that Theo is apparently working on is on the fence as to whom it wants to involve. Over the last couple of days we have seen both Lowell and Loretta get off days, and now Wily Mo is back. I think Loretta will go before Lowell, but who really knows. I think we get Julio Lugo and either Jason Jennings or Jason Schmidt
  5. i think Wells should come up for Lopez and Foulke, well I'd rather have JVB, so DFA Seanez
  6. i would give up a tad of D for Miguel Cabrera
  7. Guardians just called Marte to majors, so Aaron Boone is going somewhere soon
  8. i think any trade involving lowell would involve the Padres, not necessarily the Angels
  9. i actually think the Brewers are the smarter team in this deal. The Rangers need pitching, but they dealt their major trading chip, Kevin Mench, for another hitter Meanwhile, the Brewers do not lose that much offense and get a quality reliever to add to a pitching staff that will be getting better
  10. I think you have to go with Ted Williams, I mean, as great as Yaz was, Teddy Ballgame was one of the 5 greatest hitters ever.
  11. Cory Lidle went 8, and got a win over the red hot Braves tonight, I still like him as a 4 guy
  12. that guy is a complete and utter baseball moron, 40 % he becomes a solid set up man, he is the best fricking closer in the god damn majors. What the heck is this guy smoking, Jeremy Reed!!!??
  13. the braves don't care, he is the 4th best catcher in their system McCann Pena Saltamacchia
  14. I think this is a brilliant move considering the Braves have McCann, Pena and Saltamacchia in front of this kid. They have nothing to lose and if Wickman pitches like he is capable of, they now have improved their playoff chances
  15. great deal, I think we really saved some money there
  16. im hearing the umpire yelling at Buddy Bell on the radio The umpire is screaming, "I heard you the first time!!"
  17. just tuning in, but I just would like to offer my approval of the Sox taking my advice from last night in playing Mirabelli again
  18. unfortunately the FO is probably determined to justify the Arroyo trade, so therefore Pena is sticking around, plus the fact that he has the potential to be a very good power hitter for us in the future, so Nixon is likely the trade bait
  19. yeah, I'm actually beginning to believe the Braves will trade for a decent reliever and then make the playoffs with a wild card...then they will lose, but who cares, great rebound
  20. New Rumor: MLBtraderumors.com reports that the Astros are in talks with the Os about acquiring Tejada
  21. we can get rid of both, I think we will make a deal with San Diego that will include Seanez
  22. by the way, ARod came in as a pinch hitter and popped out to short, he was the tying run
  23. 2 shutouts on the season 2 rookies produce a 1 hit shutout, how do you like the look of that? Fist pumps for everybody!!!
  24. Paps is God, Who's Your Daddy DeJESUS?
  25. Lester and Paps a combo for ages to come, I hope
