  1. I have to say, I am extremely high on Kozmanoff's prospects and was impressed with Barfield with San Diego. Very good deal for both teams. I think Cleveland does get the better end because they have the better replacement
  2. hey, he was not bad. I'm not crying over it or anything, but he was not Rudy Seanez or anything
  3. I am also optimistic, with a promising performance by Rondo. I think Telfair will be very good, and with Rondo and Telfair on the court, West as a 3 point specialist, and Pierce running the show the Cs should be fine. I want to see Ryan Gomes incorporated heavily into the offensive gameplan.
  4. here is my predictions for the Big East: West Virginia beats Louisville, but... Rutgers beats West Virginia, but... Louisville beats Rutgers and nobody goes undefeated!
  5. how about this Kevin Kouzmanoff kid. He is the Guardians OF/1B who hit a grand slam in his first major league at bat. I like him a lot.
  6. Kevin Millar!! Just kidding. I want him on the team, but Youk at first if we can get Aramis Ramirez at 3rd?
  7. I dismiss anything brought up by Tim McCarver and Joe Buck as complete and utter crap. They are both Cardinals supporters. They tweak everything to be positive towards the Cardinals and Yankees and sound disappointed whenever the opposing team does anything. Both of them should be fired or banned from doing Cardinals and Yankee games. They as well as Fox the network have an agenda, and are by far the worst broadcast team in sports. They should be ashamed
  8. How about Chester Taylor and the Vikings!
  9. I think the Yankees rotation is worse than the Red Sox. You have an aching Randy Johnson, possibly departing Mussina, and I do not think Wang could be considered ace material. He is nowhere near Halladay or Burnett. Quit with the wishful thinking. The Yankees are just as questionable as the Sox right now, because it is not even fully the offseason yet!
  10. http://www.talksox.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7217 Remember this? We have seen the Moronic Mets fans on our site.
  11. ESPN coming up with a "major" story about a curse? No way. It is odd and a little interesting, but this is all crap. There was no curse. Wearing a Cubs batting glove does not make you play like the Cubs. You know something is bogus and made up when it takes 20 years to notice.
  12. I think he was referring to the general belief that he makes Manny and Papi happy in the clubhouse
  13. why are we talking about trading Youk? Youk can play 3rd or OF and Millar can play first, and he would not be an everyday, maybe 2/3 of the time
  14. no way, no how
  15. I think clubhouse guys are the most underrated players in any sport. Ask the Yankees if they want a good clubhouse guy. That is what has been missing from that team in their World Series drought. To another question about Millar. That Green monster increases his production immediately. The linedrives that he hits off of it help his numbers. Remember that the biggest plays of the 2004 season other than Papi's homers were made by Arroyo (A-Rod slap and beanball brawl), Varitek (fight), Millar (walk) and Dave Roberts (steal) Anybody who can help keep the clubhouse loose and keep the 2004 tradition alive is welcome in my book. Millar is the representative of that era's clubhouse.
  16. it may look odd, but you have to trust Billy Beane
  17. I think Derosa is on the way up and Dellucci is on the way down
  18. OC not a FA according to Cot's Baseball Contracts Why would get rid of Youk?! I take Mark Derosa over Delluci
  19. if you cannot appreciate what Kevin Millar did for the 2003 and 2004 teams, you did not follow those teams very well. Stats aren't every thing. What kind of crappy fan says that about a guy that was the moral leader of a team? Any other fan on this board would agree that Millar was a key figure in the clubhouse and should be brought back for a reasonable contract.
  20. wow, my hokies may suck, but at least we aren't doing that
  21. he was also the moron that made fun of the blind mets fan wearing a device that helped him see the game.
  22. I believe I said something of this in the "to-do list thread". Millar is one of my favorite players ever. I think he brings something very unique to the clubhouse and was instrumental in our World Series. Bring back Millar!
  23. I wouldn't mind Soriano at second, Pedroia at short, Manny in left, Gary Matthews Jr. in center and Wily Mo in right
