  1. SOSH Server couldn't handle the excitement of Varitek's homer!
  2. that ump getting hurt may have screwed the Sox....he was squeezing the s*** out of Shields and giving Beckett the corners. What a clusterf*** this game has been. TBS screws up and these umps take 20 minutes to get another HP ump ready...hurry th f*** up already.
  3. unacceptable HBP Beckett! I have a bad feeling Beckett is about to blow up. 0-2 to the #9 hitter and he hits him?? Give me a fuggin break! 3-0 to Iwamura..nice Josh.
  4. Let's GO RED SOX! Got my Sammy....Let's get this thing going!
  5. Were I running the Sox , I would make a run at CC for obvious reaons. That being said...the Sox have more pressing needs. I would like to see the Sox sign Teixiera and move Youks to 3rd. The Sox could then send Lowell/Bowden plus cash to the Rangers for Teagarden. The Sox then need to decide wether or not to make Masterson their 5th starter or leave him in the pen to set-up. Ideally the Sox would like a rotation of Beckett, Lester, Dice-K, Buchholz/Masterson. I think Clay will bounce back next year and be very good...he has too much talent to disappear. Uness the Sox can sign a lights-out set-up guy, I would keep Masterson in the pen. If Masteron stays in the pen the Sox need to go out and get another SP. Considering cost and durabiliy issues I would sign Derek Lowe. My 2009 Red Sox CF Ellsbury or Crisp(Ellsbury might be centerpiece of deal for Peavy) 2B Pedroia DH Ortiz 1B Teixiera 3B Youkilis RF Drew LF Bay C Teagarden SS Lowrie SP Beckett SP Lester SP Dice-K SP Lowe SP Buchholz CL Papelbon RHS Masteron LHS Okajima RP DelCarmen RP Lopez RP Wakefield? That team would be THE heavy favorite to win it all.
  6. I hope Coco lights Shields up Saturday! I'll admit...I thought they were done. I was wrong... These guys are still f***ing Champions!
  7. I cannot believe this. Maybe it's the vicodin...I am numb. Maybe it's the fact that Coco got a big hit... I have never been prouder to be a Sox fan... They showed some serious sack tonight. WOOOHOOOOO! f*** you TBS! f*** you token D-Ray fans at Fenway...I hope you get mugged!
  8. It is not losing as much as the way the Sox are just listless in doing so. This is really a disgrace. They are going down like mice. This team has some real problems going into next year. I think the Sox should sign Derek Lowe for a rotation of Beckett/Lester/Dice/Lowe/Buchholz....and add a good BP arm. Tek needs to go. Trade Bowden for Teagarden....Try and trade Lowell...sign Teixiera and move Youkilis back to 3rd. Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz Teixiera Youkilis Drew Bay Tegarden Lowrie Now that team could do some damage.
  9. I just broke out my rally monkey! Here come the Sawwx! You guys feel it?
  10. At least the Sox won't be remembered for the biggest CHOKE in the history of sports. BTW, go fugg yourself.
  11. The next big hit Choco Crisp gets will be his first. That being said...I have a feeling the Sox will explode next inning. Kazmir doesn't have s***.
  12. Is Millar gonna throw out the 1st pitch? Last year he did that spot for FOX where he reminded the Sox what they accomplished in 2004.... The Sx could use any form of mojo at this point.
  13. I think Maddon may have made a fatal mistake going with Kazmir. I understand his reasoning and think it may have some merit to save Shields for Game 6. Shields has been extremely tough at home but I think Kaz is out of gas. He has pitched more innings this year than he is accustomed to and his fastball topping out at 91-92 is a clear indication of that. He also doesnlt have his good slider and hasn't for some time. This is not the same Red Sox team that came back against CLE with the same deficit but they still have some very good players who I am quite sure do not want end their season with 3 consecutive home losses. Shields pitching game 5 would be make it very tough for the Red Sox to even reach Game 6. I honestly believe Maddon feels the Red Sox cannot win Game 6. It is imperative that Francona start Jon Lester in game 6. If the Red Sox can pull it together and send it back to Tampa....I like the Sox chances with Lester in Game 6. Anything can happen in Game 7 and if ever the young Rays were to get a little tight around the collar, Game 7 against the World Champions would be it. Go Dice-K..keep us afloat.
  14. Ohhh..my mistake. In that case..it should be a no-brainer. I would love to say BECKETT will get pissed off and be BECKETT....but nothing he has done the entire post-season even hints at that being even a remote possibility. When Josh Beckett is topping out at 93...he is hurt.
  15. Agreed. The Rays are a very good team. I do think the Sox would have won this series with a healthy Beckett, Drew, Ortiz, and Lowell however. As I said in another thread...Dice-K wins... You start Lester in game 6 and Masterson in game 7.
  16. Screw Beckett. He is hurt. He hasn't hit 95 MPH in 4 months....he is toast. Hopefully Dice-K can win. If he does...you move Lester up to pitch on three days rest and start Masterson in game 7. If you get 5 good innings from Masterson you have a chance...which is more than Beckett can give you at this juncture.
  17. Lester sucked tonight....if Beckett had only sucked like Lester did tonight....the Red Sox would be up 2-1. I am telling you that was one of the worst post-season performances in the history of the Boston Red Sox. 8 earned runs...but even worse, the team battled for him all night, taking the lead 3 times...and he coughed it up.. Beckett is the goat...end of story.
