  1. Adam Dunn couldn't hit a beach ball? l o l w u t . Career .899 OPS. No less than 40 HRs in a season since 2003.
  2. Nope, it's a few mil less.
  3. It would be: Beckett/Lester/Matsuzaka/Lowe/Wakefield. IMO. Either that or Wake to the bullpen but I don't really like that.
  4. Not really a surprise. Good deal-will he be closing?
  5. Thanks to the jokes I'm actually pretty happy the Yanks got CC.
  6. Haunted house?
  7. Circles, we are running around in.
  8. He made the offer right after the Teixeira signing, which was about a week before the report. He kept it secret when it was a possibility, but now that's it dead it doesn't matter.
  9. I hear he clogs the bases and isn't a gamer. And according to JP Ricciardi, he hates baseball.
  10. http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/2008/12/30/rox-agree-to-ship-vizcaino-to-cubs-for-marquis/ Luis Vizcaino to the Cubs, Jason Marquis to the Rockies.
  11. Yeah that's probably true. Good call.
  12. I would prefer Pedroia Drew Hanley Ortiz Dunn Bay Youk Lowrie C But it doesn't matter. *Drools again*
  13. It was rumored early in the off-season, but it's not happening.
  14. I'm not putting Dunn down by any means, I love the guy and would be pleased if we got him. I just don't think he is a target right now.
  15. I don't think it's fair to put him in the same sentence as Tex, a guy who was priority #1 for the FO and they failed to get him. They may have talked about Dunn but as far as we know, there has been no interest.
  16. Here's a link to that: http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/12/30/broncos-fire-long-time-coach-shanahan/
  17. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/2008/12/30/jays_signings_maroth/ Along with Barrett, the Jays signed Mike Maroth to a minor league deal.
  18. *Un-reads above post*
  19. Just remember guys, this isn't like the Santana thing where the Twins were intent on trading him and ended up getting lesser value. The Marlins are in no rush to deal Hanley and would probably have to be blown away to agree.
  20. I'd do it. But I had a giant man crush on Hanley when he was here.
  21. I have heard they may want to move one of Snyder/Montero to 3rd base. But it might.
  22. It's a minor league contract, it's for depth.
  23. If he can be healthy, he'd be a solid pitcher. Health is the biggest question for him.
  24. Well no, of course he won't sign a long term deal, he's 44.
