  1. aren't there exercises Manny can do to overcome this newly announced premature ejaculation problem? Books he can read? Shaughnessy probably has a library on the topic.
  2. It was reported that after hearing the diagnosis on Timlin, Schilling said "what are obliques? I don't think I have any."
  3. the hit may have been late but it was not dirty. Neil can be seen tucking his elbow down at the point of contact, and it was Drury hitting the ice that caused his injury. I've seen a lot worse not get called this year, including one by Adam Maier of Buffalo who knocked a Bruins rookie out with a ferocious hit to the head AFTER the whistle. No penalty was called. Barry Melrose also said the hit, other than maybe being late (and bordelrine at that) was not a dirty hit. He said Drury has to keep his head up and also should wear his friggin helmet the right way for now on. As for the Sabres? Sure, you have to send a message. But goons starting fights with stars is not the way, IMO. The Sabres simultaneously went after Spezza and Heatley, one guy chasing Heatley from behind and trying to bring him down with a tackle around the neck. I notice they didn't exactly go after Neil too hard the rest of the night. Ruff is a fkn caulksucker, he was as a player and he is as a coach. Screw him and the Sabres.
  4. 2 candidates that surprised me...Jeter and Larry Walker. WTF?
  5. What's funny is that that is how I used to throw my change-up in high school, except I gripped it with three fingers. By turning my palm outward and spinning off the inside of the ball I could have great arm speed but not let that armspeed translate to velocity. The spin, though, did result in a very small tailing in toward a righty. Problem was if the ball was left up in the zone? With little or no movement , it was gone.
  6. And if Jeter was a true "leader" he'd put that ARod comment behind him, if that's truly what fractured their once strong relaitonship. For krist sake, he's pretty immature if he harbors ill-feelings over an Esquire article years ago, especially when the comments were made by a guy who has a habit of saying stuff that lands him in hot water. I'm starting to really think ARod's recent comments were a conscious attempt to bring this out, force Jeter to deal with it in some respect, so that they can move on. I'm leaning toward the point of view that Jeter deliberately refuses to allow ARod to get over the discomfort, and that ARod thought putting Jeter on the spot would force this to be dealt with. If Jeter stays his previous course, IMO, it detracts from his captaincy. However the media, and thus the fans, have their heads so far up Jeter's ass that in their eyes he can never do wrong.
  7. About the same way we felt in 2003 when Grady Little refused to make the move to his BP (which had been dominant throughout the playoffs) to START the 8th, when 90% of fans plus the FO knew what the right move was. Personally I thought Foulke was the Sox playoff MVP in 2004.
  8. none...his schlong was so big it came out the chick's ass and he "over-shot" her.
  9. what's he doing? celebrating his first strike of the pre-season?
  10. he's a manwhore
  11. The problem in the NHL is, again, IMO, the fact that the league doesn't allow direct retaliation versus the players that are running around causing the s***. Used to be a guy like Ken Linseman, Dale Hunter, Matthew Barnaby, etc...you know, those players who are friggin ballbreakers...would eventually pay for their actions and an enforcer could take them on with no major repercussions. Now? If they challenge a guy, they get whistled for instigating...so they can't police their own game. What happens is everyone on the opposing team becomes a target, but not a target to fight, but a target to take a stick, elbow, knee, etc. and it will be like it was an accident. Got to let the players go after the players who are starting s***.
  12. Ask Crosby if he's been hit. The fkn guy has been drilled more than his fair share of times...and wait till playoff time. He will be a target. Unfortunately the league doesn't allow enforcers the same latitude they were afforded years ago. There was a time where if your offensive leaders got hit the enforcer could do what he had to do WITHOUT and instigator penalty. Now they almost always draw extra minutes.
  13. True. I grew up with a kid who became a sports agent. The kid was smart, but is most remembered as being a smart ass, a user, a liar, etc. He went to law school and went into representing pro athletes...of course he's such a scum, it makes sense he'd target basketball players...hockey players would have seen right through him. Anyway, he's been accused of making payoffs to AAU coaches so that they'd steer their top players his way when it came that time. His accuser, a former employee, settled out of court so the case never went the distance. So the AAU coaches are being paid off..but what incentive do the kids themselves have of actually using him as their agent, since they can't talk to an agent yet? Ahha, if you're thinking like I am, you're thinking they're already getting some sort of "assistance", or promises...there is probably something shady going down. You are right...all of this contributes to the arrogance and ignorance many players have before they even hit the NBA and the big time.
  14. I used to work with a guy here in Connnecticut (back in the late 80's...he's probably 42 or so) whose teams are: Yankees Canadiens Celtics Cowboys Bandwagoner if I ever saw one.
  15. Clemens "having second thoughts" = Clemens needs some attention
  16. it's the context, but anyway, like I said, I'm not surprised you don't get it. relax example, I think you're getting a little worked up.
  17. No, sir. However, your question sheds quite a bit of light on on why your perspective is what it is, as you clearly don't get the point...if one types F UCK or SUCK at work, one might get in trouble, so one might type SUK so IT doesn't flag the post. Still confused? Right, I'm not surprised. Now finish up that grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup your Mom made for you so you can get back to jerkin' off to the pics in National Graphic's feature on Tanzania. jackass.
  18. the "juvenile" spellings are often used because someone is posting from work and their IT Security looks for the normal spelling of potentially vulgar words. oh, and FUK off. just kidding.
  19. they gotta give the Panamian Electrocutor his due respect
  20. phish does suk
  21. While since mid-20005 I've was a Foulke detractor in terms of the likelihood of him ever pitching effectively again I do feel for the guy. Without ever possessing the overpowering stuff closers are generally made of, the guy was a very effective closer for 4-5 years, and that in itself was impressive. His comments bashing Boston fans not withstanding (in '05 or '06), I'm sorry to see the guys career end like this at only 34.
