  2. I completely disagree. After the Sanchez incident, they needed relief help. Linebrink is going to help them out a lot, IMO. Perez has something wrong with him, whether it be physical or mental.
  3. I think you have a 23% chance of being right. I can pull numbers out of my ass too.
  4. You = funny. The Yankees rotation is leaps and bounds better than the Red Sox's right now. The Red Sox have not done anything as of yet to help out their pitching staff. Johnson/Mussina/Wang/Lidle/Wright is better than Schilling/Beckett/Lester/?/? You can't think Wells is just going to step in and solidify the rotation, especially with his extra weight, and with the injury he had to overcome. Wakefield's out for another three weeks. We can't "wave the white flag" every 4th and 5th day for the next month or so and hope to stay competitive in the division. Right now, the Yankees are the better ballclub. They GOT BETTER at the deadline. The Red Sox have not yet.
  5. Casey has the propencity to get injured often, too.
  6. Gotcha, thanks.
  7. The Yankees are the favorites to win the East because of this trade right now. I wonder what Theo does to counteract. Abreu, you can make a claim that he's a slightly better Trot Nixon. The hit for power about the same, get on base about the same, and Abreu is faster and porbably superior defensively (anyone got the stats on that?). Lidle fills their 5 spot. If he keeps them in games, that part of the trade is a success. If Theo and the Sox don't do anything, then the Yankees are the favorites. But you have to think Theo has something planned.
  8. I definitely posted that weeks ago, in this same thread.
  9. Wowowowow. Wow.
  10. Lester's pitching a very good game.
  11. You should probably stop now.
  12. I love it when Manny runs out by himself.
  13. Might be looking at a couple of losses with Cleveland's offense.
  14. I agree. I also agree with the person who said David Wells is the big deadline acquistion (it may have been in another thread). I hope he can eat innings and take the load off the bullpen a little bit. There's just not much out there.
  15. 4 runs against Street will be tough.
  16. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_216897.jpg vs. http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_429717.jpg Kyle Snyder (2-1, 7.02 ERA) vs. Dan Haren (6-9, 4.02 ERA) Keep this win streak going.
  17. I just saved a bunch of money...
  18. It'd have to be. Sutcliffe still works for ESPN and he was drunk on air. Tirico/Berman are alleged womanizers.
