Here's my team, thinking it's OK for the first go-round.
QB:
Drew Brees (NO)
Jay Cutler (Den)
Matt Schaub (Hou)
RB:
Cedric Benson (Chi)
Adrian Peterson (Min)
Marion Barber III (Dal)
WR:
Torry Holt (STL)
Calvin Johnson (Det)
Santonio Holmes (Pit)
Anthony Gonzalez (Ind)
Derrick Mason (Bal)
TE:
Vernon Davis (SF)
Chris Cooley (Was)
K:
David Akers (Phi)
Defense:
Chicago Bears
Quick preliminary thoughts:
I'm hoping Brees can replicate his monster season from a year ago obviously, but I feel Cutler and Schaub are more than adequate insurance policies. Running back is probably my weakest position, relying on hope that either Benson or Peterson emerges as a big time RB. MB3 is a touchdown vulture so maybe I can pick up some cheap scores there.
WR doesn't leap out at you but I feel I had a very good draft in terms of that position, as I fully expect Holt and Holmes to have good years. Plus, if Mike Martz's offense can get Mike Furrey 100 catches I'm sure he can do something for CJ.
Defense I'm happy with and TE is a crapshoot, but Cooley and Davis are solid safety valves for their respective teams.
All in all, I hope AP can take off this year (except when they play GB, lol). A solid, not spectacular team.
