  1. Dude, and Pedro's Jheri curl? That s*** was off the chain. Another reason to hate JD Drew and his lame ass crew cut. How boring. If he had dreads it'd be so much easier to like him.
  2. Awesome. I loved Cabrera's and Millar's, like when they did the whole cowboy thing for COWBOY UP. And I love RemDawg. Do you have a bobbledesk? I need to save up to get one of those bad boys but they always run out.
  3. That's actually a damn good lineup.
  4. Dude I totally agree with you. Guys like Trot and Cabrera made that team special! What was your favorite handshake?? Quickly, OT, what did you think of Sox Appeal this week, and who do you think will win President of RSN?
  5. This is the type of response I get from most Patriots fans. Most TD passes in a single year? Yup Great shot at most yard/most TDs? Yup Super Bowl? Yup You can't knock him entirely for the playoff losses he's suffered in the past. Does he play defense? Did he miss the field goal against the Steelers two years ago? The only thing Brady has on him is Super Bowls, which is why I think if he wins one more he's unquestionably the greatest.
  6. Can we get the homer from the other night erased? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/09/07/drug.probe/index.html
  7. I sure as hell hope not. We don't need two black holes in the lineup between JD Suckbag and Alex Cora.
  8. I actually think Arod looks slimmer this year than last. But I agree with the general point. I do think the timing of this story sucks, but it really isn't all that big of a deal, seeing as the shipment happened over two years ago. Puts a dent in the story, but doesn't completely ruin it IMO.
  9. I think NYY would be very happy if he is their #3 starter for years to come.
  10. He will have all of the numbers once he's done, and now that he has a ring I think you could make a legitimate claim for him being the best QB of all time. Personally, I think he's already there, but it's a no-doubter if he gets another ring. I have had this discussion with Pats fans and they disagree with me vehemently, I just want to gauge the reaction on this board. Thoughts?
  11. I can do this all day, mods Keep in mind if they win tonight I'll need someone to step up for me. Boston Red Sox (85-56) @ Baltimore Orioles (60-79) Last night Clay Buchholz did the job. Jason Varitek did the job. Coco Crisp did the job. Jonathan Papelbon finished the job. Let's get to 30 wins above .500 tonight, boys! Let's not win it for JD Boo!
  12. Nope that's totally not true. I hate him and so do the Red Sox because he doesn't punch water coolers or come up with cool slogans (COWBOY UP!!!!) or fun handshakes. The guy is a clubhouse cancer and needs to go.
  13. I think the end of his time is fast approaching in Boston. I just don't think he has that dirt dog mentality to play here, and without it you can never succeed in a place like Boston. Trot had it. Nomar had it. Millar had it. Drew? Give me a break. This team has zero chance to win the WS with Drew manning right field, and all of the blame should lie with Theo for bringing in this bum. He's soft, doesn't play with any emotion, and looks like he doesn't even care. The only logical solution is to magnify each of his mistakes to the point where he can't take it any more and asks to be traded, or better yet, released. I mean, it's not like the guy is a career .900 OPS hitter or anything, or the fact that he has played in the NL his whole career and might need to make some adjustments. Nope. Not good enough. The guy's making $14 million, and in a game where Gary Matthews can make $10 million and put up the numbers Drew has, he has to go. I miss Trot and the days when he'd play hurt, because that inspired the team and led to win after win. I miss Orlando Cabrera, who made the clubhouse fun and that led to us winning the division when he was here...not like JD Drew who is a cancer to the clubhouse and alienates his teammates because he makes $14 million. JD DREW HAS GOT TO GO
  14. Drew's hit better than Crisp since August 1st. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your argument.
  15. Yes, the clubhouse hates the fact that JD Drew makes $14 million. Man, he's a clubhouse cancer because he doesn't shake his fist or punch a water cooler when he gets upset. Seriously, I can understand the Drew bashing on the field but arguments like these are asinine at best.
  16. They beat Olsen twice this year. Check your facts.
  17. You ran into great pitching. It happens. Okajima is clearly gassed and needs time off, which clinching early would give him.
  18. No Jacoby tonight. 1. Julio Lugo, SS 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Mike Lowell, 3B 5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 6. Bobby Kielty, LF 7. J.D. Drew, RF 8. Coco Crisp, CF 9. Doug Mirabelli, C
  19. The title will get changed I don't really care. Also, I'm going to VT this weekend so if they win until then someone needs to pick up the slack. Boston Red Sox (84-56) @ \Baltimore Orioles (60-78) Last night's loss sucked, but turn the page. They've beaten Olsen twice this year so there is no reason why they can't do it again. Wake returns and leads the Sox. Winning is better than losing. So WIN.
  20. Fine but the rest of my post stands. Theo put together the team with the best record in baseball and yet you want to bash him for letting a player go, who was cut by arguably the worst organization in baseball, only to be brought back as a desperation move, and who went on to have a great season. How is this in any way shape or form Theo's fault, when Pena barely made the worst team in the bigs? He's slumped terribly, however he has not been as much of a black hole as some others in the lineup, and his affordable contract allows them to strengthen the team elsewhere. Drew's been pretty bad. I still reserve judgment on him until next year. I would like to see what transitions and adjustments he'll make. I agree. I don't think Curt will settle for that little.
