  1. You said how the Sox weren't decimated by injuries. Try to keep up.
  2. The Red Sox had an 8 game lead the last time Manny Ramirez, a first ballot Hall of Famer, and their cleanup hitter, played in a game. Wakefield hasn't looked the same since his back injury. DiceK and Okajima are fatigued. Wang took our starting 1b out. Shocking that the Yanks have made up some ground, isn't it?
  3. I'm curious, what position did you play in '78? '03? 1946 doesn't bother me, I wasn't alive. 1967 doesn't bother me, I wasn't alive. 1978 doesn't bother me, I wasn't alive. 1986 doesn't bother me, I was less than a year old. 1999 bothered me a little bit, but you guys were clearly the better team (and got assistance from the umps). 2003 bothered me a lot. 2004 erased 1999 and 2003 for me, permanently. So do I think we'll get you next time? Yeah, the two teams have been too even for too long not to think that way, and the Sox are 1-2 against you guys in my lifetime. Law of averages, right?
  4. Well, we're not exactly "falling apart". 1st Half - 53-34, WP of .609 2nd Half - 38-29, WP of .567 If anything else, we've been fairly consistent all year. Two great month (May and April), and one s***** month (June), and every other month has been between .550 and .580. Compare it to the Yanks, who have two sub-.500 months and two months close to a .700 WP. The Yanks have had an excellent second half. It's what they needed to do to catch the Sox, and they still haven't caught them, have they?
  5. Over the Yankees, yes. But the largest division lead we had all year was 11.5 games.
  6. This bandwagon's gettin kinda crowded....lol
  7. I'd like that, but I'm not ready to annoint them NFC Champs yet. Their lack of a running game troubles me.
  8. PS, the largest division lead we had all year was 11.5 games.
  9. I hesitate to write off any team with LT, Merriman, etc. I feel these struggles fall on the shoulders of Norv Turner. That said, the Chargers DID beat the Bears....
  10. And it was the catalyst to a World Series championship.
  11. Really can't blame YES for continuing to cut to Joba's dad, I hear he's having a tough time selling his "jump to conclusions" mat. IS HE KIDDING? LOLZ
  12. Did he cry yet?
  13. They broke the Joba rules! If Lind does something here there will be rampant second guessing, lol.
  14. That was quite the disappointing inning. Oh well.
  15. You misunderstand me. Kevin Cash is quite possibly the worst offensive MLB player ever. Mirabelli is much better than he is. edit - way to make him work, boys. 2 outs on 4 pitches.
  16. Kevin Cash brings historically bad offense. I hate Mirabelli, but I'll take him instead.
  17. Just get one...I like our pen better than theirs anyways.
  18. Green Bay does the AFC a favor. You're welcome.
  19. GREG JENNINGSSSSSSS
