  1. Love the Montador deal, lukewarm about the Recchi deal - hate giving up Lashoff but I think it provides the team with what they need for the stretch run. Karsums didn't have much worth to the Bruins, so to convince myself that it is a good deal I'm calling it Lashoff for Recchi and a 2nd - and since TB will most likely suck next year that 2nd could prove valuable.
  2. George Brett and Brett Gardner have similar skillsets?
  3. This - it's pretty clear the Bruins need a defenseman but they should go the route of a rental so it won't impact the Kessel and Krejci negotiations this offseason.
  4. It's pretty clear a move needs to be made, and soon.
  5. His temper tantrum and shitshow got him....$5 million extra dollars.
  6. 22 mins later.... http://www.talksox.com/forum/general-baseball-forum/12019-manny-signs-dodgers.html#post386062
  7. per ESPN
  8. So is Brad Penny's shoulder discomfort a red flag? They've been in game action for less than a week. If his elbow felt fine yesterday (and WFAN reports said it did) then I see nothing to worry about. Seems like the Mets are taking caution as well they should.
  9. Coincidentally enough that deal may have signaled the end of Thomas's Bruins career 4/24 seems like a lot and that will be the benchmark used for Timmy's negotiations this offseason. Paying Thomas $6 million a year seems too much when they need to lock up Krejci and Kessel longterm.
  10. Theodore can get hot though. I like their goaltending over Philly's.
  11. Three horse race between the Bs, the Devils, and the Caps.
  12. Who cares who is better when they both suck?
  13. He has terrible rebound control, and you don't need to look past games 6 and 7 of last year's playoffs to know what I am talking about. He's a good to great regular season goaltender, but in a 7 game series when EVERY GOAL IS CRITICAL, I don't trust Thomas because of his streakiness.
  14. Lowrie at the league minimum seems like a better value than Cabrera at $4 million.
  15. Based on what, his fluky 120 AB sample size in 2007?
  16. I take offense to that as my biggest problem with Thomas is that his style of goaltending is not conducive to playoff success - which should be the #1 thought on all Bruins' fans minds right now. That goal, along with many other Thomas softies, is the prime example of why the Bruins will struggle to win the Cup this year.
  17. No comments on the softie from Thomas the last game? Thank God Manny is in net tonight.
  18. Dude, he's contributing and is a founding member of fanbase.com. How dare you speak to him in that manner.
  19. And Lowrie is better than all of them so what's your point?
  20. They're both garbage.
  21. Why? Cabrera's not that good.
  22. I'd rather have Lowrie over all of them
  23. Cabrera = awesome handshakes:thumbsup::thumbsup: lugo = intestinal parasites:(
