  1. I thought I had seen it all until this. Apparently BB and Charlie Weis were doing a charity event with Bon Jovi (who they have been friends with for years). Bon Jovi offered to donate $50k if BB and Weis would get up and sing with him, then BB countered with $60k not to sing....but Bon Jovi won out in the end. At least it was for a good cause: [youtube=Bon Jobi, BB, and Weis]VzbMP7pLRkA
  2. Crazy game, and i only saw the OT....well the 6 OT's.
  3. I bet Snyder loved getting this news: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2009/03/haynesworth_indicted.html
  4. Long time Pat headed to NY http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/jets_confirm_iz.html
  5. Got in the habit of calling them that after seeing this on ESPN: http://www.daveconroy.com/res/jest.jpg
  6. ESPN has been reporting that Cutler wants out of Denver now and has lost faith in the Denver brass. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3968896
  7. I saw that and actually thought about putting an over/under underneath the quote on how long before you mentioned it The normal guy who writes this blog is on vacation, and this is a fill-in guy. Defecting to me would have been more apt describing someone who left to go to the Jest when Mangini took over. I get the feeling most people in NE hate the Jest, especially when Mangini was there......but wish Denver and McDaniels nothing but the best (unless they are playing the pats of course)

  9. Great signing IMO. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/patriots_agree_2.html
  10. Good signing. That's a good price for a 3 or 4 in the rotation, and Lester has the ability to be a 1 or 2 if he can stay healthy.
  11. The game against the Cavs was just crazy. The C's played incredible despite not having KG, losing big baby early, losing Rondo for a while, and an incredible free throw disparity.......I thought Tommy H was going to kill someone
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3960653 here's that quote: Should be entertaining watching what happens between TO and his new QB Trent Edwards.
  13. Fair enough
  14. Lewis is a special teamer and reserve WR......nothing more.
  15. Evans was good at what he did. He had good hands out of the backfield,(especially as a checkdown) he could run successfully when needed which was usually short yardage, and he did a great job blocking both in the running and passing game. With him gone the pats don't have a true fullback, and in times past when they didn't they struggled in short yardage. The pats backfield has been injury prone in past years with the exception of Evans....he never missed a game in 3 1/2 years. Evans is gone and the pats move on. However wishing the pats could have kept him (which they tried to do, just not at the price he got) isn't "borderline psychopath"
  16. ESPN reported the cap hit for TO is $9million (as previously mentioned).....but that it would have been a cap hit of $8million to keep him this year. Granted after this year the Cowboys stand to save about 6million, but to cut him and have your cap hit go up shows how bad things really were.
  17. Heath Evans signs with the saints. I wish he was coming back, I think he will be missed greatly in the running game. The pats wanted him back, but the saints were willing to pay more apparently. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/the_heath_evans.html
  18. Pats resign Hansen: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/patriots_sign_c.html
  19. More info on Lewis: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/report_patriots_2.html http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/greg_lewis_trad.html http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/03/greg_lewis_anal.html
  20. Pats make a trade for Gaffney's replacement: http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/03/05/eagles-trade-wr-lewis-to-patriots/ WEEI is saying a conditional pick is what the pats gave up
  21. Pats sign a DB with Springs: http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/03/05/patriots-reach-agreement-with-free-agent-springs/
  22. Ray Lewis back with the ravens: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3952887
  23. Great signing for the Broncos.....I wanted him back with the pats, but signing Taylor made it not possible. http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-broncos-jordan-030309,0,2737466.story
  24. Michael Holley on D&H today said that he heard a rumor that the Pats and Browns were going hard after Ray Lewis. Holley has been a decent source in the past with some good contacts down in Foxboro so we'll see what happens.
