I wouldn't say that...but I wouldn't be surprised if Polian hasn't had an affect. Before each pats game with the colts I know he 'briefs the officials crew' as to what the 'rules committee' wants to focus on. Since he's the head of the rules committee that's his right, and while i am sure the refs haven't done anything intentionally they would still have that in the back of their minds. Since he's done that with that pats games, i am sure he does it at every home game, if not every game. Let us not forget the playoff game with Pitt when the Polumalu int was reversed as incomplete! This year the projected numbers for penalties are (for 16 games) Colts opponents: 91-808 and the Colts: 57-376........that's a pretty big difference.
