1. Easy with the trigger finger there, Fred.
2. Raajaa is just using the Sox to squeeze more money out of the team that wouldn't offer him arbitration. This isn't about baseball, it's about banking.
3. Yes, with a purple-lipped 3rd baseman leading the list.
4. Thepenismightierthan the sword. That's why.
5. He'll pitch MR for us, and his contract will run out. And remembering '04, it'll be sad.
6. He's done as our closer. And Timlin is the setup man. We'd be lucky if we could trade him to a team that needs help in their pen, but he's not throwing well enough and we'd probably have to eat 75% of his salary.
7. Because of the clutchness of guys like Gayrod.
8. Pap's going to wind up with the save. Nope. Wow, Foulke really sucked. That ought to quiet the "Start Papelbon" contingency.
9. Foulke is getting his nipples ripped off.
10. Willie Mays Hayes can cover some ground. *drops and does 20 push-ups*
11. He isn't breaking the speed limit out there. A merciful DP.
12. Not tonight, this lead is Seanez-proof. Let's see how Ann Coulter throws.
13. Has he pitched in the last year? How many reasons does he have not to throw? They should have sent him in for a ball transplant.
14. The only stat that matters at the end of the season is W's, TEAM W's. Maybe he could win 15-20 games as a starter over a season...if the closer doesn't blow his lead. Or he could potentially save 50 games, making him much more valuable to this team as a closer. Hansen making minor league starts is not to develop him as a starter, it's a move designed to get him the maximum amount of innings to develop his pitches and possibly strengthen his arm. When he's ready for the show, he needs to fill whatever role the team decides maximizes it's chances to win the AL East.
15. BTW. Lowell's done, too. I heard that from several "authorities" who ripped him all March.
16. You'd better hope so because if he comes back and plays like he did before the broken bone (I know, he's so soft because he can't play with a broken bone), then the MFY's are in deep dookie in the east.
17. As opposed to The Felon, who can put the franchise's books in the red because he lines his pockets in the shadows of the docks.
18. Haha, I say Baby Face Finster / Ant Hill Harry: We'll be calling him Steinbrenner's Next Stalking Victim if he keeps hitting doubles like this.
19. lolcaust!!1!!!1 ROTFLMAOBBQSAUCE!
20. Because it's February would be my guess. Spring training right around the corner, there will be plenty to discuss very shortly.
21. Yeah, and yeah. Just don't tell Combat Zone where we are, and if you give me a Bud Light just turn the label away and I'll pretend not to notice.
22. Or maybe a crown of smelt caught from the Pemberton pier in Hull?
23. This board is in for quite a treat during the MFY's first slump of the season
