  1. FIRE JOE, FIRE JOE!!! Oops, sorry, I must have been channeling bbdoc there.
  2. Take that back to the field with you, AzDROOOOLbul!
  3. Baseball, life...what not? Looks like Beckett is killing the Sox right now, eh?
  4. OK Kielty fans, tighten up your seatbelts.
  5. And here it is: http://obli.net/media/1/20050818-how-about-a-nice-cup-of-shut-the-fuck-up.jpg Jerkoffs. It was a homer, and after Lowell's AB it's a non-issue. Douchebags, Manny accomplished more this year than McCarver did in his entire career.
  6. That would be great for you, then you'd be able to reuse all your "FIRE JOE, FIRE JOE!! clipart.
  7. I used to love him and Monty calling games on WSBK-38.
  8. What would take him out first, the bullet or the explosion caused by the spark from the primer reacting with his 100% gasoline body?
  9. OMG, that's just SOOOO wrong on so many levels. Hysterical, but nonetheless wrong.
  10. Game of inches folks, starting with Blake's play on Pedroia on the first pitch. The line drives that were smoked at the outfielders, the DP balls we hit, the one off Wake's glove that created the big inning, the two strike homer off Delcarmen that bounced off the top of the fence, the blooper by Blake that added insult to injury. Given all that, it almost makes sense that the Sox lineup would be scoreless over nine innings sandwiched around an improbable 3 consecutive homers. Did some guys come up short? Sure, but isn't that all magnified in a game and series you're falling dangerously behind in? I give the Guardians credit, they're playing ridiculously solid and have done nothing less than capitalize on the things that have gone their way.
  11. LOL, how many does that make this year darlin'?
  12. Tough to take after the 3-1 call.
  13. WHOOO TEK!!! About friggin' time !!!
  14. Snake a tube down his nose and get back to him in four or five hours.
  15. How many DPs are we going to ground into tonight?
  16. I agree, he should be pitching in Fenway next year. They can build him up and monitor his work there. Who says he can't skip a few starts if necessary along the way to keep him under some predetermined inning cap? And if the Sox make the WS and he isn't hurt, they better put him on the roster and let Gagme start his negotiations for '08 a week early.
  17. Yeah, my bad, I always got confused and thought she was the St. Bernard.
  18. He better go 7, I don't want to see Gagme on the mound for the rest of the series.
  19. Schott, and don't forget her poodle Schottzie.
  20. 700 makes some great points. You can't possibly come up with a formula for "clutch". The fact of the matter, and the point I'm trying to make, is that Arod is an under performer in the playoffs, and hasn't got many "clutch" hits in pressure situations. It's not mathematical, it's psychological. Familiar with the Inverted "U" theory? It basically states that an athlete's performance will go up as their intensity increases to a point, and then will begin to decline past that point as their intensity continues to escalate. It looks like an upside down bell curve. In the biggest moments, the human element comes into play, some rise to the occasion, others do not. Playoff baseball creates a level of intensity that Arod simply hasn't been able to deal with, his performance diminishes, he "folds", he "chokes". I wish I could find a link to Tom Verducci's article "Does Clutch Hitting Truly Exist". In it, the biggest stat boy of them all, the Boy Wonder Theo Epstein sat on the fence and wouldn't deny that clutch hitting exists. And he hired Bill James as a consultant! So screw μ ! :harhar:
  21. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/BoNeato/Priceless.jpg with special thanks to TMW.
  22. Can we buy him a plane ticket to LA and DFL him? Seriously, he needs to go immediately. Him warming up is like a pep rally for the opposition.
