  1. My biggest problem with Lugo is it seems the more the heat get turned up on him, the more he sucks.
  2. Tito will have to let him throw about 140 pitches for that.
  3. I finally got NESN two weeks ago. 42" Plasma, La-Z-Boy recliner, built in bar, wireless coverage, NESN - my family room is now complete.
  4. And if you hit it in the right spot you can be a real dirtdog.
  5. and he'll bring his wife....Morgan Fairchild...who he's seen naked
  6. Yes. Thanks for posting your yearbook photo.
  7. A poorly hit ground ball A rushed ground ball A sac bunt A routine ground ball A shattered bat blooper That's baseball, s*** happens. Leaving Detroit 3-1 would be pretty big anyway, we weren't going to sweep the month of May anyway. Look on the bright side, had the team not rallied back (again), we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

  9. WTF was that? *snicker*
  10. Maybe this deserves its' own thread, and maybe there's some information I don't have, but are there new/modified "Joba Rules" in effect this year? Is he working with The Steamer, or being instructed to emulate him? Was he told to stick around with the rookie pitchers, and took it totally out of context?
  11. If Colon can make it back, he'll work middle relief. Schilling won't be ready anytime soon, and when he is he'll spot start to get/stay sharp. I could even see him getting some scheduled middle relief work on a strict pitch count. He's a vet and a smart guy who knows and understands the what's and why's of what he's doing this year. Sarting the 1st inning or the 6th inning isn't going to make any difference to him until the season is on the line for the team. After what he's gone through, there's no way they put him into the regular rotation unless it's the only option they have. Why risk him reinjuring or having his shoulder "run out of gas" before the playoff stretch when you have 5 servicable starters?
  12. Dance moves like these? http.//www.thedustball.com
  13. http://bp0.blogger.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/SB9tJZPiZwI/AAAAAAAABm8/GzoVQEdIS4U/s400/mlb_a_hernandez_200.jpg So we finally find out what Jacko looks like...
  14. Lowell seems to have settled in, last night he lloked like he was seeing the ball very well. Wake will go 8 tonight.
  15. No, I got your point, what you wrote seemed accurate and valid regarding the others. I just think the single factor that determines when/if Schilling pitches is Schilling and Schilling only.
  16. He's certainly left the door open for Hansen or someone else to eat the innings he's been getting. He wasn't seen as the last pitcher on the Sox depth chart yet, was he? (NOW we now return you to your Brandon Moss thread, already in progress.)
  17. No. I'm just saying that he doesn't seem as effective as he should be lately.
  18. I agree with what you are saying, and I like MDC. But at the game yeasterday it appeared as if his fastball must have been flat. He hit his spots early in the count, then got fouled off with pretty decent looking two-strike swings. The balls hit into play were solidly hit, almost like they were "sat on". At the MLB level, even 95-97mph fastballs are going to get hit hard if they have no movement.
  19. MDC threw hard and threw strikes yesterday. But he couldn't get anybody out, and threw 19 pitches facing 3 batters. Both hits he gave up were with two strikes after the hitter had seen his entire bag of tricks. You can work ahead all you want, but without an "out" pitch it's going to be tough for him to stay with the club long term.
